I'm looking for about 14 miles of hiking in harriman. Shelter and water in the middle of the hike for an over night?

Tea - I did a super solo in Harriman in March. Trip report and pics

It was longer than 14 (more like 28), but you can easily modify what I did to suit your needs.

If you have the 'northern Harriman Bear Mtn Trails' maps, you'll see the possibilities are endless. I parked at the Lake Tiorati Circle and headed north on the AT towards Bear Mt.

To keep the mileage closer to 14, you could camp near West Mt, saving Bear Mt for another day. There is a great shelter on West Mt, but most likely it will be taken. However, walk past the shelter and head up to the Timp. There are several great campsites up on top with fabulous views.

From the Timp, you can start heading back via the Red Cross Trail. Lots of intersecting trails and you can vary your hike a number of ways.

When you going?
