Bad Santa
Since this is the Christmas season, how about renting "Bad Santa." Its destined to become a Christmas classic for all the wrong reasons!

Or how about Tim Buton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas." A little off-the-wall combination of Halloween vs. Christmas.

110 minutes of my life completely wasted. what a bunch of crap movie.

Crash, Santa travels doesn't he, lol.

The Lonely Planet travel videos are really good, especially if this guy Ian White is the travel host. He's a riot!

"Dodgeball" has just enough good laughs to make it worth renting. Absolutely mindless fun that has the whole trendy gym and obscure sports elements well pegged.

This is one of my all time favorite shows! Ian is hilarious! I liked it when he went to Greenland and went hunting. The hunter tricked him into eating the reindeer’s stomach contents. LOL! He’s always getting drunk with the locals too. They still show that show under a different name I think on PBS. He’s also got another new show where he just travels the world doing a bunch of crazy stuff. I can’t remember the name of the show, time or even the station. Sorry. Looks good though.

I watched day after tomorrow a while back...thought it was a little stupid...can't remember what exactally...but there was a really dumb scene, where Dennis Quaid was hanging of a building (??? or something)...I think he even had his hands full...not sure anymore...was about to fall, like in all those movies...Anyway... he was able to safe his ass magically by getting a rope, or something. Dang, i can't remember, but it was something completely impossible...

It was still okay...just a little stupid.

The new version of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" wasn't that good either. Other than Jennifer Biel (?) in a sweaty skin-tight T-shirt running in the swamp...nothing too spectacular.

Didn't see the new version of "Dawn of the Dead".....I saw the older version...filmed in the 70's.....the one where the 2 soldiers and a few surviors barricaded themselves in a shopping mall. That one I really liked.

The PBS version of Lonely Planet is called Globe Trekker. I love that show. Travel channel used to show it all the time before they started showing their stupid vegas shows and worlds biggest yacht and Haunted Washington DC shows.

I watched Dodge Ball over the weekend. Juvenile humor rocks.

One thing that cracked me up was the enormous banner hanging over the dodgeball surface with the logo, "Go Balls Deep"

LOL!

We kept replaying the black & white clip of the little kid getting his glasses smashed off--for some reason it was completely hilarious!

Justin was pretty funny-- he was in Galaxy Quest too-- he has the "nerdy geeky guy" role down pat!

OMG-- yes, the wrench scene was absolutely hysterical!

Did you rent the DVD and see the out-takes? Some of them are just as, if not, funnier than the scenes in the movie itself...

How about when Justin has to do the lift with the chubby cheerleader?!

I do agree-- although they billed it as a Ben Stiller movie, it was more of a Vince Vaughn movie... he's just so "matter-of-fact" throughout the whole movie... :-)

I actually bought the movie on a whim at Sam's club--I figured that since Thinkbubelz and I'd be watching the movie with a friend, buying the movie for $19 was equivalent to the 3 of us going to the movies... It really gave us a good laugh when I needed it!

We have a movie house that shows all the import films and the ducumentaries near me and they will be starting it on Jan. 21st. It's made by the same guy who directed Hero. I heard a review on NPR this weekend and the guy couldn't give it a better review if he went down on the director. He said the story was just so great and that the use of color was the most spectacular thing he'd ever seen. He said he didn't think that a more spectacular movie could even be made but if there was, this director would be involved in it. YOWZA!

Man you should see the new beard trimmers I got for my birthday! They are the bomb! One thing I hate is when you're trimming up your daddy parts and the trimmer does more pulling out of hair than trimming. These were nice and smooth. No pulling, no yanking. I don't end up itching really bad three days later. Nothing worse than standing in line at the bank scratching like monkey. The only complaint I have about them is they do smell a little funny. Kind of like cheese gone bad. ?????

Basically it's about the same emperor in the Qinq dynasty. He did suceed in unifying China (5 emperors at that time)....by conquering them. He was one mean sum-of-a- beach.

In a very sad kind of way...it was good for China...at that time I think there were over 300 dialects in the Chinese language. He made Mandarin the official language.
