very cool book.
it came in paperback.

4th edition
features the 57th scenic parks, Ilineraries and sight-by-sight tours, Activites, excursions, Lodging, 80 Maps, 415 color Photograghs

I tell you this book is just what every backpacker needs.
little info about the area, history, suggested routes and how long it will take you to complete it. who to call for permits or just for info....

all kinds of cool stuff!

what kind of birds to look for and where water can be found.

Right! If it were directly the tree you were camping under. I would hope the bird drove his beek through a knot in the tree trapping it and thus keeping it from further Tap Tap Tapping. I would not have to pierce the early morning air with gunfire then.
