Okay, Clem...
Ya got my admiration big time! I loved your art pieces! You are very gifted and it's good to see that you keep it up.

In my spare time, I play guitar (play by ear, can't read music), write, and collect odd pieces of pottery. I also like to drink Corona and I love to laugh. I spend time with my dog, and family as much as I can.

This sounds like a damn personal ad! LMAO!

I sing and play music. I recently bought a mandolin and am trying to self teach.I like to work in my yard and pasture and sometimes like to cook.

Change diapers, chase toddlers and preschoolers, feed aforementioned children, work, think about hiking, repeat. I'll admit my wife does most of the first 2 items.

In two weeks my wife takes her first hiking trip. We're going to Roan Mtn in NE TN. It's been since early March since I took a trip. Yeahhhhh!

Hikin Mike -- just visited your website for the first time. Esp. interested in the Mt. Whitney trip report and pics! (My son and I are doing that hike on July 9 after the Sierrapalooza 5-day.)

(FYI - the last link on http://www.thebackcountry.org/carlot/coronet1.htm is pointing to your C drive.)

Much the same things as Dayhiker, minus one child plus forty hours of work a week and kayaking and gardening and I love to cook and bake. Also doodle and create every once in awhile.

I'm supposed to be doing some home improvements but they always take last place.

1. Lean on the box of my buddy's pick up and drink beer with the thousand yard stare (don't look at me, I'll figure you're aiming at me and shoot you first).

2. Cross country ski-ing, snowshoeing, long walks, bike rides and canoe camping with the girlfriend.

3. Fly fishing (sporadic and half hearted - don't kill - can't stand feeling them flop around in my creel).

4. Deer, duck and goose (Canadas and snows) hunting - also sporadic and half hearted.

5. Winter mountaineering (a passion).

6. Cooking (French bourgeois, Indian and Szechouan mostly).

7. And alsways, always, a teacher - it's a life not a job and I have a debt that can never be fully repaid to three of mine, now with God.

8. Oh yes, high school boys' and girls' rugby coach.

9. Some times I make wine, but I drink it regularly. IMHO, the best reason for a university education is that you get to drink wine with dinner (and after) without being called a wino.

That's about it.

I hike all the time, I never do anything else. Sure, lugging this laptop around trail after trail really sucks sometimes; especially when it rains. But now that I have an empty Pringles can and can steal wireless internet whenever I get near a town, it's really worth it.

Whaddo I Do?
When I'm not in the woods or on the trail? I am THE MOMMA around hyere to two kids. I have to work on guiding these teenagers along with their Daddy. We still haven't got them launched into life yet. Don't wanna see them messed up after getting them this far!

I'm an avid reader.
I work on my yard flower garden.
I chase my husband around and steal as much loving as I can get. ;-)
I love to cook so I cook great meals then use the Momma priviledges to make someone else do the dishes.
I love to swim and dive so I spend time in the river alot.
I work on my photography.

Roxanne, I loved your artwork. My oldest daughter is an artist wannabe and I will show her your artwork. Her school art teacher is very impressed with her talent and is always talking to me about getting her into different art lessons. Lately though she hasn't been interested in doing more than drawing. I plan to get her to lots of art shows this summer to inspire her. Your artwork is a lot like what she does, people and flowers, except her people look a bit like the japanese cartoon characters she sees on TV. Hopefully she will grow away from that.

As for me, besides hiking, I garden, do home repair, plan trips, half of which I don't get to go on, some artwork (I painted my mailbox which came out pretty nice), and spend a lot of time on my two daughters, their homework, girl scouting, social life and sports. This summer my kids are going to an overnight bible camp, and my husband and I will hopefully go on our first backpack just the two of us. I hope to take up kayaking someday.

travel (anywhere),
swim/canoe/kayak....

Geezzzz...I'm getting old. Blah!!

thanks Lyndy and MSDhiker

for your daughter Lyndy tell her to keep striving for her dream. Although I am not a starving artist becuase I teach I still desire to do my art 24/7 and I have went furthur with my art sellign it yearly. Reminder her of this art is subjective and it depends on who is looking at is as to how it is recieved... she should read the life of Picasso, Van Gogh and DAli..real eye openers..tell her good luck from me!

-love to take pictures, and am getting better at it.

-Like to go to target practice to shoot.

-i am actually pretty good in painting, just never have found the time to REALLY get started. Once I copied a huge piccasso on my wall. Looked pretty darn good, but the wall still didn't look straight so I had to get a new wall.

-Whitewater rafting (never done it alone though, always with a guide)

-I would love to learn how to work a canu or a kajac. (spelling?)

-computers (used to mess them up just so I can fix them)

-Like to work with my kids on projects, or sometimes do my own (yummy smelling candles)

-I love to remodel homes.

-I just love to drive. (if it's not dark or raining)
