They're the ones who took the campaign contributions and then muzzled Arthur Levitt when he recommended separating auditing and consulting functions at Merrill Lynch, Arthur Andersen, et al.

especially if your policies are predicted to result in a 44 TRILLION-DOLLAR DEFICIT. That small bit of info was deleted from the budget predictions in February. When asked about it, Ari Fleischer admitted that the numbers were credible, and THEN went on to say that legislators will have to "act responsibly" to see that Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid et al don't "overwhelm the budget" (like they never saw it coming, LOL). For some strange reason, he did not mention Bush's tax cuts in that context.

Are Republicans really planning to demolish Social Security by formenting an 'economic train-wreck'?

What if Democratic politicians haven't been 'scaremongering' after all?

Is this the very thing that scared the crap out of the previous George Bush, causing him to go renig his promise of "No New Taxes!"??
