How is your leg? I never did read an update on after the doctor pulled that stick out. Did it get infected or is it healing well?

It must be feeling better because there was a thread about Abby going on her first hike without the babycarrier, this past weekend. Take extra zinc and Vit C to heal the scar.

She already said there's no pictures of the fresh injury. Maybe we can hope for some photos of the recuperation period, which also oughta be interesting.

I think she'll have to post some leg-shots.

Any other of you gals can do the same.

Thanks for asking!
All better, almost.

It stayed infected until about three days ago, when another little piece of wood popped out. Then it cleared up immediately and scabbed over. Abby has been kissing it to make it feel better, lol.

No pictures of recooperation period either.

C'mon - post pics.

What fun is it having a gory injury if you can't gross people out? (although the image of your 2 year old kissing a scabby boo-boo is a good start.)

lol, I was wondering if anyone would comment on that ViOliN. Of course, I have her kiss to the side of the scab, well away from the actual boo-boo. Don't tell her though, she's trying real hard to make it feel better.

Jer, thanky!

Ewk: long story short I knelt on a woody reed type stick, it penetrated (she said penetrate, lol) my knee about two inches and broke off. I pulled most of it out, continued having a grand ol' time all weekend. But, infection set in and when I went to the dr. he did some scalpel work, found a big chunk of wood, and taped me up. Not as bad as it sounds. There were large quantities of puss and blood though. I really wish I'd have taken a picture.

Well I'm glad to know that you are on the mend Sass (even if I found out you were mending before I found out about the injury).

Sass, at least you were able to continue on throughout the weekend. Just glad you went to the Dr, to get it taken cared of. We can't have you hobbling around trying to keep up with your daughter.
