Read again. I don't see anyone saying that she can't express her political feelings if she wants. My position is that I don't like what she said, and I'll put my money where my mouth is, by not buying their tickets or CD's.

I'm always amazed when entertainers think that their political opinion is so valuable that they should share it with everyone whether they want to hear it or not. And that they would pay money at the box office to hear it.

Tell me one contradiction you spot in what I've said.

Its not all about taking sides. If there are sides to take, I'll take Dixie Chicks' side - but that doesn't mean I'm brainwashed into thinking they deserved 5 awards for their music, or suddently think the Grammy voters are good judges of music. The Grammy vote was all about the image MarkO started the thread with a big wave of the finger to Bush's war and everyone who helped him dump on people who opposed the war. I'm with 'em on that, but it won't make me care any more about the Grammy's or respect their decisions anymore.
