The Bush administration along with the Utah Governor have supported opening 2.5 million acres of temporarily-protected lands and disqualifying another 3 million acres for Wilderness consideration, until…..

The big, annual Outdoor Retailer show, worth $24 million to the Salt Lake City area, has threatened to pull the big show out of Salt Lake and move it to another western city if the lands deals aren’t reconsidered. They have the backing of an $18 billion outdoor industry and seem to getting the ear (and the attention )of the Utah governor and he is now “reconsidering” his stance.”
