I have been on a quest to find a lightweight laptop to take with me when I go out of town.

I found the Fujitsu P2120 it weighs a little over 2 pounds and is 10 inches wide.

Did you get the solar flat-panel power kit for it so you can take it backpacking with you ; ) ?

skully. The battery lasts 7 hours. It has a module that you put in the computer for an additional 7 hours but I also have the brunton Solar charger to recharge it if I want.

Get a PDA and one of those fold up keyboards- shouldn't be too heavy or bulky. Why would you want to take a computer on the trail? You can take a deck of cards and still play solitaire.

PDA wouldn't work for what I want it to do. Not enough memory and I can't put the wireless internet card in there either.

This is pretty nifty... for just a PDA.

But for something more fully fledged, there's something like this, <G>

yeah, but I can't resize pictures and upload them and they don't have enough memory or hard drive space.

You won't want to upload graphics with wireless internet. In cold weather your batteries won't last 2 hours.

Wireless internet works on cell phone technology. You better be hiking in a city park.
