Texas Bound

“Headin' out to Texas this afternoon to go to my high schools 20 year reunion. I haven't been back to Texas but once in the last 15 years. I've kept in touch with a few old friends and most are gonna be there so it should be fun. It's gonna be interesting to see how everyone's changed and how many people I can't recognize. The bummer is, no backpacking this weekend. Oh well, Trinity Alps next weekend and then Mt. Shasta.”

I went to my 20th a while back, enjoyed myself a lot, but the same little groups in high school reappeared at the thing. All the exjocks, excheerleaders, ect. still thought they were better than everyone else, but most just ignored them and had a good time.”

“I expect some of the same things looking at the list of attendees. It's funny though, in the town I graduated, there is a lot of that cliqueish thing going on but some folks never left town, I mean ever, including going to Dallas only 50 miles to the south. Anyways, I've done alright for myself and used to get along with most of the cliques to some degree.”
