after rescuing a hiker
Woman gets dehydrated on a strenuous 3.5 mile hike and calls 911 for rescue. Is she to blame for not being prepared or going on a hike that she's not ready for? Or is it just bad luck?

Tragedy. This could have happened on any rescue call, whether a real emergency or perceived. Rescue workers were on the ground with the woman. They could have made the call to waive the helicopter, but did not.

I see LifeFlight take off every day from my office. They have two helicopters that take off and land at a local hospital. LifeFlight does a great job in mnay areas where quick medical transportation is needed.

The rescue was successful. It was when the pilot decided to go back to the area to record the altitude that the rescue took place that it got into trouble. Sounds like he shouldn't have done that.
