I have way too much! Its nuts! I don't know what to do with it all :O! Yesterday I grilled them, the day before I fried them the day before that I steamed them. This morning I made zuccini bread. What the heck, the plants are like producing a gazzillion of them. I think the water must be radioactive or something, these things are monsters!

Pickle 'em. They're great that way.

Try slicing the zukes in half, lengthwise, spread some blue cheese on each half and put 'em under the broiler 'til cheeze is melted and just a tab brown. YUM!

Did I tell you all that I have a gazillion cheeries right now too?
Black tartarian, Bing, and Royal Ann kinds all getting ripe now. I have been spending my evening picking (and eatting) them. The royal anns are bigger then quarters and it is so hard to not eat too many while I pick (i think the rule for cheeries are eat one of every ten)

no- no innuendo there (smile) although it could be misinterpreted - I was referring to the NPR PHC show where the folks of Lake Woebegone would sneek around at night and leave zuccini on their neighbor's front porch - ring the doorbell and run or just sneek away.

I'll share if you want....
I have a fantastic recipe for summer squash gratin. Calls for leeks, zucs and yellow squash.

You can also make wonderful cookies and cake with zuchini.

HOI, I listened to that episode! THat's how it used to be in Mi. for us. In FL., they get eaten by critters first.

My one tomato plant is on its way to dead. It wasn't looking good for a week or so, and the other day my neighbor had her fence powerwashed (my plant is right next to it). Needless to say it took a beating, and I'm not sure its gonna survive. :(

My mom used to put her extra cukes and zukes out at the road with a "free" sign.

Let them dry out...
then core the centers and drill a couple of holes and smoke weed in them the way the native americans did.
