I don't know what to do!!!!!

“CURRENT EMPLOYMENT:
I work at a holographic place. I make 8.00 /hr, but interns can work a max of 20 hrs a week. It’s a sweet deal. I know my boss real well, he has never not given me time off, obvcourse I don’t get paid if I don’t show up. Working 20hrs a week gives me time to hike and do what I want. Go down the shore and what ever. With this job, I could get a second job and make lots of money. We often have “slow” times with no work. In fact I haven’t done any work in the last week. Its easy getting payied to do nothing, but I don’t like being idol.

LAST YEARS EMPLOYMENT:
I worked at a scout camp. I worked 24 7 for 7 weeks. No weekends off, no days off, but lots of fun along the way. I would make about 1,800 for the summer (that’s what my friend is making there now). That 1,800 is 500 more than I would make for the holographics place over the curse of the same 7 weeks at the same time if I get a second job I would easily surpass the 1,800. However BSA camp is more work and no BPing, like I couldn’t go to the dacks with Artex stuff like that.

OTHER SITUATIONS:
In late august I will be going to college (but living at home :( ), my best friends uncle has a beach house that is open to us, a 40something foot fishing boat and other cool stuff that would be available during the weekends. My venture crew is going canoeing in the Dacks for a week, which would be during camp time. There is no way I am going to miss this trip. I can’t I’m the leader of it. That same friend broke his ankle and won’t be up for anything till July. My friend would not be able to work at scout camp because of the injury, he probably would be pissed at me if I flipped, but then again he had no problem getting a job at campmor and not telling me, now of the injury he can’t work there (I think). My boss is my uncle’s best friend, I don’t know if dropping out on him this late would create problems.”

“I'm a little confused, but it sounds like you should stick with your original plans. Let your friend find another person to cover for him.”

“Great work ethics Tea. When do you plan on entering politics? Here in Ohio we had a young go getter register for the Rep. race when he was but 17 (he turned 18 before the ellection). Don't remember if he won or not though.

I think if you aren't breaking any comitments you made do what you want. If you did make a promise then honor that. The best thing is talk to everyone envolved and get their take on it.”
