“I am sure this can't be the normal attitude towards your fellow backpackers. I didn't know this site existed till I saw the other people bashing this site on the other one. How a site set up to let people talk and share ideas about a mutual interest went into a petty name calling event doesn't make much sense. I can only assume egos got ruffled. It is true some know more than others about backpacking but isn't that why we are here? just my two cents”

“well thanks! In that case a little introductory on my part. I'm from SC and have been hiking and backpacking for over two years now. I always went to the mountains as a kid but didn't get back into it till I met my husband. I posted a thread about Glacier looking for ideas about day hikes in the area if anyone has been.”

Yea still lurk around here in some of my free time. I honestly haven't been to this "other site" and do not plan to. I just simply cannot understand this Twinkle Toe person. Doesn't make any since.

I have been doing okay...how about yourself. We'll have to go to Wrights Lakes Basin again sometime. That was a trip I'll remember for awhile. I thought about you when we were in Disneyland last November. Since I moved near Yosemite, I spend even more time in the backcountry than ever before. My brother is coming from Ozark County, Missouri tomorrow and we are departing on a 9-day bp trip. Last year I went to Missouri and float tripped and hiked with him.

Yes I still keep in touch with John and Auntie M. She has seriously been out of the loop since her father died. But there is a trip planned to Bench Lake (Taboose Pass). Excellent fishing trip in a place where nobody ever hardly goes. I'm going perch fishing with John before then. She will not allow the trip to be posted on this site though. e-mail me for details.

Look the other site has been bashed before by many other people. I was sickened by all the crap I saw posted there yesturday. So I posted here because there is indeed a lighthearted rivarly between the two. So it's for kicks and giggles.
