John Muir Trail opening

“I am thru hiking the JMT starting August 2nd thru Sept 6th. However, JDSmiling is only hiking the sections from Happy Isles to Redmeadow and then she will re-enter at Charolette Lake to Whitney. So I have a opening from Reds Meadow to Charolette lake. The dates for an entry at Reds Meadow would be August 9th. If you wanted to only do a week or so, you could exit at Muir Ranch August 16th where I have a resupply team coming in. Or you could enter at Muir Ranch and go to Charolette Lake on August 23. Exiting over Kearsarge pass or down to Roads End. So as it stands, I have openings for one person for two weeks or two people for one week each. I know it is late notice, but I thought I would toss it out there, in case anyone had a week or two worth of backpacking they were trying to fill... If interested, please email me at wld257@aol.com”

There's a one week Denali hike with a few friends in consideration, too. Scott's Peak I believe. However, there's a good chance that'll fall through.”
