Thanks to Snafu for showing up and not getting lost. Being that this was his very first backpacking trip and he didn't get to camp until around midnight, there was some concern. Way to go newbie! Ya done did good. :o)

Thanks to Mister M and Gojo for just being there when we finally showed up at the campsite Sat night. Some of the others had to leave early Sat afternoon so Tea, Lt, Nomad, RichB and myself continued on and got caught in a nasty storm. It was a long day and we were delighted to see that M_Silver and Gojo decided to drive to a spot near our campsite to keep us company.

The rain did stop and we had a nice time Sat night. Amazingly, Tea the eagle scout managed to get a roaring fire going despite the wetness. Way to go Tea!

Sunday morning, Nomad and Lt left with M_Silver while Rich, Tea, and I continued on the trail. We dealt with some blowdown and wet conditions, but it was a nice hike out.

Finally, thanks to the group for yet another great TT trip. With bad weather reports, people coming in and going at different times, car troubles, thunderstorms, it all came together.

Finally 2 (really)... my camera did not behave this weekend. Maybe it was the rain but most of the pics did not come out. I managed to salvage a few but even those are sketchy. Anywho...

“For salvaged pictures they look very nice. My ears, face and head were swollen this morning from bug bites. I was hard to put my motorcycle helmet on and I had some hearing loss in my left ear from the swelling. That never happened before, but things sound better tonight. I think the mosquitoes did more damage than the black flies.”

Pennsy Spitter Hiker: Despite technical difficulties, you still managed to get some decent shots. But I'm disappointed ...was looking forward to seeing a pic or two of AmyG swinging on that tree over Painter Run ...a real "Jane of the Jungle" there I tell ya. Of course Tarzan Dare, being ever close by, quickly dashed to the rescue of his damsel in distress ;-)

We awreddy got home the nother day but I have ben verry busy werkin with my daddy and Gissmo so I did not have time to rite no theeng.

We went to Geddysberd when we left Pennsyvanna. I had skeeter and fly bug bites and Gissmo did to so we did not walk in the woods no more. I was VERRY HAPPY that we did not get no more bug bites! My daddy sayed that if we got enny more bug bites we wold go to the hopstittel!

I am glad that we seen ever buddy. Me and Gissmo had a verry happy time. You are verry welcom for likin my hubsand and cuz yall did not say "get that ole dog a way from aroun heer!"

I like the pikters. Did I say Gissmo is verry hamsom? Yes. Now yall have seen how hamsom he is to.

I was verry happy I seen Miss AmyG. My daddy sayed "boob-hoob-hoob" cuz she got a new hubsand. Gissmo sayed "you shold smell her stinky butt any ways" but my daddy sayed that is ok for dogs to smell nother stinky butts if you got a hubsand but not peepel.

We went to the Apalaytin Trale in Verginna and gave the peepel beers and siggerets at the shelter and ever buddy sayed "Yaaaaaaaaay! yall are angyls!"

I will prolly see yall some nother time I hope.
