“the anti-christian attitude that you may feel is only the backlash from christians throwing their weight around over the last several decades. christian thought has been what has guided this country, for good AND bad, since its inception, but when opposing thought gets a toehold (darwin, gay rights) christians are there with a hammer to smash that toe, then wonder so many ppl hate them.

“I have to agree. Religion is nothing more than doctored up politics. Everyone has a relationship with God (whomever that may be) but thats their personal relationship and shouldn't be altered by how much tithe is being paid to the church. My Father (who once studied to be a priest for about a decade) saw the internal works and politics involved and his faith told him that it was wrong. But he always told me that God never promised anyone happiness in life , only in the next. SO I agree pushing the issues so bad as to turn into wars and herding people like sheep to conform to someone's personal opinion of what life should be is F*cked up!”
