If he was chased that far and then stabbed, I don't even see why there should be any confusion. That's murder, and it ain't self-defense.

Unless, of course, we're not getting the whole picture...

I personally think that you should have the right to DEFEND yourself, using deadly force if absolutely necessary but chasing someone two blocks away and then stabbing them to death?

I'm thinking you defended yourself pretty well if the attacker felt the need to run away.

I'm not sure how you would go about crafting a law that allows defense and is difficult to abuse.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Fist fights broke out and police made more than a dozen arrests at a neo-Nazi rally and march Saturday through a predominantly black neighborhood.

Most of the arrests came after fights between supporters of the National Socialist Movement and angry counter-demonstrators, who were upset with the group's anti-minority message.

About 30 members of the neo-Nazi group wore khaki uniforms, black boots and red armbands with swastikas during the march through the Orlando neighborhood of Parramore. They were confronted by more than 100 protesters, some holding signs including ones that read, ``Stop the hate. Stop the violence'' and ``Love everyone.''

The neo-Nazis marched down one side of the road and protesters the other, separated by two lines of police. Both groups hurled insults at each other.

``For them to come into our neighborhood, it's wrong. It's a slap in the face,'' said Donnell Jones, 33.

More than 300 law enforcement officers were on the scene. Some officers patrolled with K-9 units and on horses, while police helicopters circled above the march route. Those arrested were charged with disorderly conduct, battery on a law enforcement officer and wearing a mask, said Barb Jones, an Orlando police spokeswoman.

During the march, the neo-Nazis held signs with slogans such as ``White People Unite'' and statistics claiming that crime is mostly committed by blacks. Later, they made Nazi salutes at City Hall as a SWAT team separated the white supremacists from a jeering crowd.

TAMPA - Gov. Jeb Bush's office is refusing to release documents or answer questions about a $400,000 tax credit awarded to MZM Inc., whose former chief executive pleaded guilty last week to bribery and illegal campaign contributions.

MZM, of Washington, stood to receive $320,000 from the state and $80,000 from Tampa and Hillsborough County after promising in 2004 to create 80 high-paying jobs in the area.

The former CEO, Mitchell Wade, spent $1.08 million buying a four-story office building at 601 E. Twiggs St. in downtown Tampa on May 20, 2004. That was two months after Wade met U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris and gave her $32,000 in campaign contributions from his employees.

In his plea deal Feb. 24, Wade admitted to bribing U.S. Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham, of California. He also acknowledged giving his employees cash to reimburse them for contributions to Harris and to Virginia Rep. Virgil Goode, which is illegal. All three Congress members are Republicans.

Fla. Lawmaker Faces Racial-Slur Inquiry

"MIAMI -- For months, state Rep. Rafael Arza has ducked accusations that he repeatedly used a racial slur. But last Saturday night, according to authorities, he was caught using the derogatory term for a black person on another legislator's voice mail, and what has been a long-running sideshow here has come to a political climax.

In a rare move, House Democrats vowed this week to walk out unless the prominent Republican legislator resigns or is expelled.

House Republicans, meanwhile, have put an inquiry into Arza's phone messages on the fast track, but it is not known whether there will be enough votes in the GOP-controlled legislature to expel him. Police and state law enforcement officers are also investigating the calls because the recipient of the messages, a fellow House Republican, was allegedly threatened with physical harm".

Rest of story

Are they all going crazy?????

Absolutely!

I think we ought to bring back to stocks for people who make politically incorrect statements! After all it’s hate speech and hate speech must be stamped out at all costs.

It doesn’t matter whether physical harm was done, or property stolen, we must stop people from thinking in a manner that displeases us. It’s not enough to act in a manner that doesn’t harm our neighbors, we all must think alike. And we must create laws to punish these offenders. Only then can we all live in communal bliss!

Fascism is a leftist creation, hence the National Socialist German Workers' Party known in English as the Nazi Party,

One question.
Can we drum out an equally reprehensible Democrat from Florida who routinely utters racist comments, has been proven to steal from the public and likes to misuse her position to forward incompetent cronies?

Yes? Cool.

A Dem can shout it from the rooftops and it's A OK!

LOL....your desperation is showing wing nuts.

OF COURSE THIS APPLYS TO ALL PARTYS....Fools.

From the story....

"Last Saturday night, Barreiro received a profanity-laced tirade on his cellphone. In it, Barreiro said, Arza referred to him using a racial slur, though Barreiro is not of African descent.

Other messages followed from another caller who was with Arza and threatened physical harm, Barreiro said. Barreiro said he is concerned for his family. Miami police now have a copy of the messages.

Barreiro said he does not know why Arza used the racial language again on a recorder, especially since he must have known he was under investigation.

"It sounded like arrogance," Barreiro said. "It was as if he were saying, 'I can say this again and nothing will happen to me.' . . . He's a bully, and somebody had to stand up to him."

This is a Republican who filed the complaint.

I guess we just shouldnt mention any bad thing a Republican does, huh...only when Democrats do it...LOL, LOL

Personally I feel the voters of Florida should be the ones to deal with him. If the republican party feels he is not what they want representing them then they can kick his ass out of the party and he can drift as an independent. Then if the voters feel they don’t want him they can vote his racist ass out.

I’m so sick of the smoking gun drive-by dick heads who think any and every offense is impeachable.

Fascism
Fascism is a radical political ideology that combines elements of corporatism, authoritarianism, nationalism, militarism, anti-anarchism, anti-communism and anti-liberalism.

The word fascism stems from the Italian word fascio (plural: fasci), which may mean bundle, as in a political or militant group, or a nation. The term also comes from the fasces (rods bundled around an axe), which was an ancient Roman symbol of the authority of magistrates. The symbolism of the fasces suggested strength through unity; a single rod is easily broken, while the bundle is very difficult to break.

Originally, the term fascism was used by an Italian political movement that ruled Italy from 1922 to 1943 under the leadership of Benito Mussolini (see Italian fascism). Later, fascism became a more generic term that was meant to cover an entire class of authoritarian political ideologies, parties, and political systems, though no consensus was ever achieved on a precise definition of what it means to be "fascist". It is often said that fascism is right-wing authoritarianism, but this is not very specific, since the term "right-wing" itself is vague and controversial. Various scholars have sought to define fascism, and a list of such definitions can be found in the article definitions of fascism.

Part of the difficulty arises from the fact that there are very few self-identified fascists. The word has become a slur throughout the political spectrum since the defeat of the Axis powers in World War II, and it has been extremely uncommon for any political groups to call themselves "fascist" since 1945. In contemporary political discourse, adherents of some political ideologies tend to associate fascism with their enemies, or define it as the opposite of their own views. There are no major self-described fascist parties or organizations anywhere in the world.

The governments and parties most often considered to have been fascist include Nazi Germany under Adolf Hitler, Spain's Falange, Portugal's Estado Novo, Hungary's Arrow Cross Party, Romania's Iron Guard, and other similar movements that existed across Europe in the 1920s and 1930s. Some authors reject this broader use of the term or exclude certain of these parties and regime."

More from Benito
Benito Mussolini (1883-1945) over the course of his lifetime went from Socialism - he was editor of Avanti, a socialist newspaper - to the leadership of a new political movement called "fascism" [after "fasces", the symbol of bound sticks used a totem of power in ancient Rome].

Mussolini came to power after the "March on Rome" in 1922, and was appointed Prime Minister by King Victor Emmanuel.

In 1932 Mussolini wrote (with the help of Giovanni Gentile) and entry for the Italian Encyclopedia on the definition of fascism.

Fascism, the more it considers and observes the future and the development of humanity quite apart from political considerations of the moment, believes neither in the possibility nor the utility of perpetual peace. It thus repudiates the doctrine of Pacifism -- born of a renunciation of the struggle and an act of cowardice in the face of sacrifice. War alone brings up to its highest tension all human energy and puts the stamp of nobility upon the peoples who have courage to meet it. All other trials are substitutes, which never really put men into the position where they have to make the great decision -- the alternative of life or death....

...The Fascist accepts life and loves it, knowing nothing of and despising suicide: he rather conceives of life as duty and struggle and conquest, but above all for others -- those who are at hand and those who are far distant, contemporaries, and those who will come after...

...Fascism [is] the complete opposite of…Marxian Socialism, the materialist conception of history of human civilization can be explained simply through the conflict of interests among the various social groups and by the change and development in the means and instruments of production.... Fascism, now and always, believes in holiness and in heroism; that is to say, in actions influenced by no economic motive, direct or indirect. And if the economic conception of history be denied, according to which theory men are no more than puppets, carried to and fro by the waves of chance, while the real directing forces are quite out of their control, it follows that the existence of an unchangeable and unchanging class-war is also denied - the natural progeny of the economic conception of history. And above all Fascism denies that class-war can be the preponderant force in the transformation of society....

After Socialism, Fascism combats the whole complex system of democratic ideology, and repudiates it, whether in its theoretical premises or in its practical application. Fascism denies that the majority, by the simple fact that it is a majority, can direct human society; it denies that numbers alone can govern by means of a periodical consultation, and it affirms the immutable, beneficial, and fruitful inequality of mankind, which can never be permanently leveled through the mere operation of a mechanical process such as universal suffrage....

...Fascism denies, in democracy, the absur[d] conventional untruth of political equality dressed out in the garb of collective irresponsibility, and the myth of "happiness" and indefinite progress....

...iven that the nineteenth century was the century of Socialism, of Liberalism, and of Democracy, it does not necessarily follow that the twentieth century must also be a century of Socialism, Liberalism and Democracy: political doctrines pass, but humanity remains, and it may rather be expected that this will be a century of authority...a century of Fascism. For if the nineteenth century was a century of individualism it may be expected that this will be the century of collectivism and hence the century of the State....

The foundation of Fascism is the conception of the State, its character, its duty, and its aim. Fascism conceives of the State as an absolute, in comparison with which all individuals or groups are relative, only to be conceived of in their relation to the State. The conception of the Liberal State is not that of a directing force, guiding the play and development, both material and spiritual, of a collective body, but merely a force limited to the function of recording results: on the other hand, the Fascist State is itself conscious and has itself a will and a personality -- thus it may be called the "ethic" State....

...The Fascist State organizes the nation, but leaves a sufficient margin of liberty to the individual; the latter is deprived of all useless and possibly harmful freedom, but retains what is essential; the deciding power in this question cannot be the individual, but the State alone....

...For Fascism, the growth of empire, that is to say the expansion of the nation, is an essential manifestation of vitality, and its opposite a sign of decadence. Peoples which are rising, or rising again after a period of decadence, are always imperialist; and renunciation is a sign of decay and of death. Fascism is the doctrine best adapted to represent the tendencies and the aspirations of a people, like the people of Italy, who are rising again after many centuries of abasement and foreign servitude. But empire demands discipline, the coordination of all forces and a deeply felt sense of duty and sacrifice: this fact explains many aspects of the practical working of the regime, the character of many forces in the State, and the necessarily severe measures which must be taken against those who would oppose this spontaneous and inevitable movement of Italy in the twentieth century, and would oppose it by recalling the outworn ideology of the nineteenth century - repudiated wheresoever there has been the courage to undertake great experiments of social and political transformation; for never before has the nation stood more in need of authority, of direction and order. If every age has its own characteristic doctrine, there are a thousand signs which point to Fascism as the characteristic doctrine of our time. For if a doctrine must be a living thing, this is proved by the fact that Fascism has created a living faith; and that this faith is very powerful in the minds of men is demonstrated by those who have suffered and died for it."

I know it must be hard for the Axis of Idiots to accept that they, by definition, are fascists. I also know it's hard to dispute things like primary resources, but you might as well embrace that fact that you are fascists! The Neo-con Republicanism is the new fascism, and has been trendy for the past 6 years! Enjoy your time fellas!
