Gee, I hadn't realized how sensitive you are nigal. I will try and keep my language proper around you now that I know. I'm use to hanging around men and women who are climbers, law enforcement and SAR people and we use comments like that all the time to get someones attention.

I don't know of anyone who would consider that going "ape #&%!$" and...what did you call it, "poop your Granimals".....thats so cute ;-). I hate to think what you would do when someone really unloads on you. Perhaps that where you got the "poop your Granimals" line?

Your, "start a strict regiment of testosterone" and "growing a pair", comment is really funny, especially coming from you. Testosterone or big balls has never been a problem for me actually, I could see how you would be intimidated by it though. I doubt you could follow me and my girls on half of our adventures.

If you ever get out this way please let me know...You are more than welcome to sit in on one of my survival classes...then we can go out and see what you learned. If you are tough enough, perhaps you can come on some of our little adventures. Be warned, we don't put up with whiners.

I really do want to apologize if I offended you nigal, I'm just not use to dealing with candy asses.

You may have the last word...your type seems to need that, LOL.

LOL I am jut amazed that the electronic machines can't print a paper strip out that the voter takes (like the old punch card) and places in a locked box as a back up for a recount.

Think about it. The electronic machine logs the vote so you have the rapid electronic ability to count the vote but VOTER # gets a printed tally (shows who they voted for) and places it in the box like they did with the punch card ballot.

That way you have a way to check the totals.

Bush ends term with high marks
St. Petersburg Times
October 30. 2006

His older brother's approval ratings may be abysmal, but a new poll shows Florida Gov. Jeb Bush likely will leave office in January as popular as ever.

In the St. Petersburg Times poll, voters were asked to rate the two-term Republican governor's performance by assigning a letter grade.

Fifty-six percent of likely Florida voters gave him an A or B.

Another 23 percent gave him an average or C grade, and 10 percent a D. Only 7 percent failed him by assigning an F.

"Florida really is the tale of two Bushes," said pollster Kellyanne Conway. Voters have "high, deep gratitude and praise for Jeb Bush."

The results come from a statewide telephone survey of 800 voters conducted Oct. 22-25 for the Times by Conway's Republican firm, the Polling Company, and a Democratic firm, Schroth/Eldon & Associates. The margin of error is 3.5 percentage points.

Hialeah Republican Gloria Evans, 73, awards the governor an A: "I think he's sincere. He has integrity. Anything he's done has been for the good of Florida."

For years, Jeb Bush's approval ratings have tracked higher than those of the president, particularly in 2005 when his steadfast response to two years of eight hurricanes was in sharp contrast with Washington's response to Hurricane Katrina.

But the new poll shows the governor remains popular among Republicans and independents, both genders, all age groups, and whites and Hispanics, even as his most prominent policy position - reliance on the standardized Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test to give letter grades to public schools - continues to lose favor across all voter groups.

It's the reason independent voter Jefferey Kelley, 55, a disabled engineer in Seffner, gives the governor a D. His wife is a teacher.

"I see what she goes through," Kelley said. There is a disconnect between the test material and the rest of what students are learning in the classroom, he said. "I don't have fond memories of him. I'll be looking forward to seeing him go."

Other voters give Gov. Bush credit for trying.

"It stunk back before he got here but he made an effort. It's an effort in the right direction," said independent voter Sharon Kinkead, 64, of Port Orange. She gives him a B-plus.

As expected, Bush's approval ratings are highest among Republicans: 70 percent give him an A or B and only 1 percent give him an F.

He also enjoys a loyal following among independent voters, with 66 percent giving him an A or B, and among Hispanics, with 62 percent awarding an A or B. Bush is fluent in Spanish.

Among Democrats, only 32 percent give Bush an A or B. Another 33 percent give him a C grade.

One of them was not Democrat John Boggs, 50, a self-employed mover in Riviera Beach, who said the governor hasn't kept his promise to be a governor for everyone.

"I don't think he's honored a lot of middle-class working people," he said.

Democratic pollster Thomas Eldon noted that across all voters, more people give Bush a C (23 percent) than an A (21 percent), saying that means the governor averages a B-minus grade.

Conway, however, said Bush's showing is impressive after eight years of controversial leadership.

"The fact that 65 percent of Democrats give him an A, B or C is remarkable in modern politics."

Life in Jeb Bush's Florida is good.

It was about 7:30 a.m. when Taggart arrived at the workout room in sweats. A Pasco Sheriff's Office report describes the reception he got:

"How come you're so cold?" asked Benjamin Nodar, 64. "I thought you were in the Army!"

Taggart was, for 26 years. "I was in Korea in 1950," he told Nodar. "I was up on the Yalu River when the Chinese came across, probably when you were in grade school, and I got frostbite on my hands and feet.

"A little bit of cold bothers me."

Nodar, according to Taggart, wasn't impressed: "You military people, always crying the blues."

More words were exchanged. The report said Taggart called Nodar a wimp for not serving his country. Nodar, according to a witness, told Taggart he should have died in the Army.

Nodar got in his face, Taggart said. Then, witnesses say, the 215-pound Nodar lunged at a man 14 years older and about 45 pounds lighter than him.

It was on.

Nodar grabbed Taggart. Taggart kneed Nodar.

The retirees fell through the doorway of the men's bathroom and tumbled onto the floor, still fighting.

"I said 'You big sucker, I ain't gonna let you get on top of me,' " Taggart said. "So I got on top, and I stayed there."

Taggart said he rolled Nodar onto his back and pinned his wrists to his sides. "I just overpowered him," Taggart said.

Deputies were called. They arrived 10 minutes later.

Nodar told deputies Taggart gave him a hard time about not being in the military, kicked him, tripped him and sat on him. Both were bleeding.

Nodar was arrested on a charge of battery on a person over the age of 65 - but not accused of getting the better of one.

Police: Teacher promised 'A' in exchange for sex

BARTOW -- Authorities arrested a 29-year-old teacher after they say he promised a student an 'A' in his class in exchange for oral sex.

Arrested was Isaac N. Tillis of Highland City, a Bartow High School teacher.

According to the arrest report:

On Tuesday, a 16-year-old girl asked Tillis how she could improve her grade through extra credit work. He told her he could assign her extra work but in return she would have to "do something for him.'' When she asked what that meant, he whispered "blow job'' while making a motion with his hand toward his mouth.

Shortly thereafter, authorities say Tillis wrote the girl a hall pass and a note stating he would give her an 'A' in exchange for a blow job. The girl told the teacher she did not do those kinds of things.

The girl told authorities, who equipped her with audio surveillance Wednesday. She agreed to meet the teacher at the end of the school day.

After school, he told her to follow him to the teacher's lounge, which was vacant. He then led her to an adjacent bathroom there, pulled down his pants and told her to perform oral sex.

Bartow police arrested Tillis Wednesday at school after the girl spoke a predetermined code into the recording system.

Tillis is charged with solicitation of a minor.

Like the Johnny joke where he comes home and admits he had sex with his teacher. His mom sends him to his room.

That evening when Dad comes home the Mom tells Dad what happened. The Dad goes up to confront Johnny. Dad really can't punish Johnny since he has seen some of the young teachers. So he asks Johnny if he has any questions,"Yeah dad, how long will my ass hurt like this?"

TAMPA - The last thing Gina Boyd expected to receive Monday while helping her vomiting toddler was a traffic citation.

That's exactly what she got.

Boyd, 27, of Temple Terrace, received a $123 citation from a Hillsborough County deputy after she made an improper U-turn from Bruce B. Downs Boulevard onto Fletcher Avenue to pull over and attend to her daughter, Emily, 3.

"We were in a pretty gross situation," Boyd said Tuesday. "While I'm catching her throw-up, I hear sirens behind me."

Boyd is a stay-at-home mother of three children whose husband is in the Army, serving in Iraq. She said she realizes she violated the law but wished the deputy had exercised discretion once seeing why she had made the improper turn.

Instead, she said, Deputy Jon Tillis told her she could have called an ambulance if there was an emergency.

A St. Augustine woman who belted her beer into the seat beside her but left a 16-month-old toddler unrestrained in the back seat has been charged with DUI, child abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a license.

Tina D. Williams, 46, was arrested just before 5 p.m. Sunday after she was pulled over on U.S. 1 in St. Augustine by a St. Johns County sheriff’s deputy who had been sitting at the light. The deputy said Williams ran a red light, barely missing other vehicles. After pulling over, Williams told the deputy she was stopped because she was “running out of gas,” according to the arrest report.

A 24-pack of Busch beer was strapped in the passenger-side seat belt, the report said. The 16-month-old girl was in the back seat with passenger Amber Tedrick, 20. When asked why the child was not restrained,

Williams, who had a strong odor of alcohol, said she did not know.

Following the stop, the child was released to Tedrick, who is the toddler’s mother.

In a purse belonging to Williams, the deputy found two metal pipes commonly used to smoke drugs.
Williams refused to take a breath test, according to the report.

Williams was in the St. Johns County jail Tuesday in lieu of $31,000 bail.

OAKLAND PARK - How no one smelled the horror that authorities say may have been up in Glenn Parker's overgrown tree for a year is a mystery, but the partially mummified body made itself known last week.

Tree trimmers cutting branches so BellSouth crews could service phone lines cleared enough foliage to let Parker spot a skeleton in the tree Friday, he said.

"I hope I don't find another one," said Parker, 45, on Monday.

Luckily, he said, there are no more large trees in his backyard.

Investigators removed a skeleton that had apparently been hanging in the tree since last year.

The Broward Sheriff's Office said the remains are likely those of someone who committed suicide, and foul play is not suspected.

The case remains under investigation.

Parker said investigators are checking to see if the remains could be those of his former roommate, who disappeared about a year ago.

But how nobody could have smelled the rotting corpse in Florida's broiling heat is puzzling.

"I never smelled anything," insisted Parker, who has lived in the house in the 1200 block of Northwest 43rd Street for 14 years.

His neighbors, whose backyard pool is just yards from where the body was found, said they never smelled anything, either.

The skull, Parker said, was about 5 feet off the ground, suspended in some leafy branches.

When Parker took a closer look, he said he spotted the skeleton hanging above it. That's when he called 911.

The tree has since been cut down.

Parker wonders how the tree trimmers didn't notice the skeleton.

The Sheriff's Office says it appears no one noticed it because it was camouflaged by the tree.

"It's weird," Parker said.

State Split: North Florida and South Florida

NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla. — One city commission wants to divide Florida into two states: North Florida and South Florida.

The North Lauderdale City Commission says in a resolution that it's not confident in state leaders when it comes to collecting and spending their own money. It also says it would be "in the best interests of the citizens and residents" to divide the state.

Commissioner Rich Moyle says they're frustrated with the state Legislature "ignoring the cities in South Florida." But he acknowledges the idea likely won't pass.

When asked Tuesday about the resolution, Governor Charlie Crist could only muster up a laugh.

Meanwhile, other municipalities and counties are being asked to join in the resolution. The boundary line would be from Palm Beach County down through Monroe County.

FORT WALTON BEACH - A man angry his neighbor parked in his parking spot allegedly ripped open a bag carrying the neighbor's fathers ashes and scattered them on the ground Sunday.

The woman told Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office deputies she hadn't been at home in five days and returned to a "belligerent drunk neighbor" at her home on Eglin Parkway.

According to an offense report, the woman heard her car horn going off and her daughter went out to see what was going on. The daughter found the man in the front seat of the vehicle.

When the woman came down to the parking lot, she told deputies the man began to yell and curse at her and she tried to remove a wooden chest containing her father's ashes out of the vehicle. She told deputies the man knocked the box out of her hands. A bag inside the box fell out and some of the ashes inside were spread on the ground.

The woman said she told the man those were her father's ashes and he continued to curse, saying, "(Expletive) off." He then picked up the bag containing the remainder of her father's ashes and tried to dump them in the bushes and on the ground, according to the report.

The woman said she began to scream and tried to pull the ashes away, but he wouldn't let them go. He eventually released the ashes when the bag ripped open.

The man told deputies he didn't want to make a written statement. According to the report, he said he was angry the woman had parked in his spot. He denied knocking the box out of her hand and scattering the ashes. He said the woman must have done it, according to the report.

The man then wanted to know if he could pick up the wooden box, its contents and the ashes and throw them away since they were on his private sidewalk, the report said.

The man admitted to drinking about four beers before the altercation.

The deputy noted he found the wooden chest open with a Navy flag on top, partially on the ground. There was also a broken rosary, an empty cloth bag and a torn plastic bag.

The deputy wrote in his report he'll follow up with the victim regarding criminal charges.
