the hulk - best comic book movie ever?

“i just saw it twice this weekend, and it is easily the best movie based on a marvel comics property, maybe the best comic movie ever, although the crow is probably still the best. also, of all the major fanboy moives out so far, its the best, better than matrix reloaded (but not better than the original), better than x2, probably wont be better than return of the king. undoubtedly will be better than loeg.”

“In my book it will never hold a candle to the original TV series with Bill Bixby and Lou howeveryouspellit. Give the era and special effects of the time, the original, to me, seems more 'realistic' than the animated version. That maybe the only thing that keeps me from seeing this movie, the animated Hulkster. It just looks to cartoonish in previews.

“I had heard that the Hulk came out looking plastic-y because of the green of his skin. I was amused at how one second he was small enough to walk through a door but the next he was nearly as big as the tank he was tossing like toy. I don't know, the origanal Batman movie or Spiderman is tough to beat.

Gawd that Six Million Dollar Man figure was the shiznit! You could look through the little hole in the back of his head and see through his bionic eye? What could be cooler? I always wanted the cool as hell red running suite he wore.

“I haven't seen it, but have read about it and seen stuff on TV. IMHO, as far as the comic book to movies thing: The 1st Batman with M. Keaton is the best so far. Growing up, I was more into Star Wars (I still have just a bunch of Star Wars sh't in the basement). What's going to be cool is when I bring all my stuff out that basement up for my sons to play it, for a short time of course. I dont't want to damage what will be there college fund LOL! My boy Max is so into it, he introduced himself at his first soccer practice as "Anikin". Too cute....”

“I really dug the movie. The Hulk was my absolute favorite growing up. I definitely thought it was slow to get started but WOW! some of those scenes were amazing. IMHO, this is what The Hulk really is. He's enormous, twice the height of a man, no way a real actor could play it. I liked how in some scenes he would grow before your eyes as he got more mad, like when getting pelted with bullets. I got a little tired of the sectioned-off-picture-in-picture-comic-book-like-multiple-shots-on-the-screen-at-the-same-time thing by the end, but I could deal with it. I also wish there weren't so many night time scenes. Sometimes it was really hard to see what was going on. The tank scene was the bomb, though, and worth my admission price by itself.
