Too many options
Wife is out of town this weekend and I can't decided what to do.

I was going to take a backpacking trip somewhere close but haven't found anyone to go with me. That's not too big a problem, I can always go solo.

The problem is, the annual Trojen Fest is going on here this weekend too. Mud volleyball, beer garden, great band from Nashville.

There's also a holloween convention and swap-out going on and I'm on a planning committee for a local haunted house. There will be a behind the scenes look at a major haunted house in Newburgh in addition to hundreds of vendors from across the Midwest.

Today, some friends invited me to the Elksburg Wine tasting. It's an afternoon of tasting local wine makers fare and feasting on elk burgers.

So I could pack all this in and have one weekend of unteathered drunken bliss, or go solo backpacking.

This could be the last nice weekend we have before the summer heat.

So that's my dillema, what should I do?

Are you insane?

Go backpacking, save the heavy drinking for when you are too old and infirm to backpack!

Trust me, after little IJ comes, the backpacking opportunities will thin out...

Oh, what did I expect. I knew I would hear the voice of reason. I just checked the weather. 70s during the day and 50's at night with no rain and clear skies. I don't think I can pass that up for the end of June hiking. It's 92 and humid as hell here today.

Heh. Sorry, but walkindude has an already well-established pattern. I can't do anything about that, unfortunately...
