Ran across this mail-order place which carries the Sweet Sue chicken-in-a-pouch stuff. I'm able to pick it up at my local Kroger, but know that this stuff hasn't made it to store shelves everywhere.

Pricing seems decent, even with shipping.

Did this chicken happen to have an altercation with electric power lines?

I mean... what are the chances... ?

Read the thread. It tells you the brand name... Sweet Sue. And if you're good, you'll even find the link to where you can mailorder the stuff.

I've been hoping that the stores here (SF Bay Area, east bay to be specific) would start carrying this stuff, so I could at least try it. Well, today it was all there at the store!! I picked up a pouch of the ham, which I think I'll put on a pizza this week to try it out. I noticed that each quarter cup serving has 18g of protein - seems like a pretty good source if the taste is good.

thems all good! i had the salmon in a pouch with rice (boil in the bag), red pepper flakes, grated 3 cheese, garlic powder and sun dried tomatoes. it was good too. i usually use tuna for that.

now, the new flavored tunas in the pouch are top notch.

Sweet Sue seen in Food Lion
I just checked this out recently and was very pleased. In the South, try looking in the canned meat section at Food Lion.

Where did you find the tyson stuff binks?

BTW - Jerbear turned me on to the precooked bacon.... that stuff rocks! It's very light, full of fat and protein, and you can use it with hot meals. ummmmmmmm.

Albertson's down here in Southern California has chicken in a pouch. It only comes in one size similar to the larger tuna pouch.

Tried the ham last night - on a Boboli pizza. Not bad. Wife and son liked it OK, too. I did not find it overly salty - heck, it's ham, which will be kind of salty no matter how it's cooked/packaged.

SCORE!!!

Super Walmart is now carrying cooked ground beef in the foil pouches. They have lightly seasoned and mexican flavor. They are 10.5 oz. each. I'll let ya all know how they taste Monday.

BTW- Thanks SB for letting me know where to find it!
