“We day hiked the "easiest" California peak over 14,000 yesterday. It was a beautiful day - weather was perfect and the scenery was spectacular.

In maybe 3 years (once I retire), I'm considering doing an extended vagabond-type, hiking-camping-occasional-motel-room trip around the U.S.A. and Western Canada. Your White Mtns. will definitely be on my itinerary.”

staying in Lone Pine for a couple days. Mistake. Not much in Lone Pine. 95 degrees.”
