Bird poop on rain fly

“It rained one day last week. Apparently all the birds took this as a great opportunity to sit in the tree above my tent and aim for its yellow rainfly.

I just kinda sponged the crap off (literally) at the time with plain water. Do I need to do more than this? There still might be real light spots when it dried.

“My advice is to stop camping and backpacking right now. If bird poop on the fly stumps ya you might want to reconsider your hobbies. Maybe take up something less complicated like collecting Beanie Babies.”
