Just got back from a great weekend on the AT and some great new gear!

OPIE bought me a pair of Komperdell - High Mountain Sports trekking poles that saved my life on the trail! I couldn't have made all the climbing without them. On the way back home we stopped at an outfitter in Chattanooga and I bought a new Deuter Aircontact 45 + 10 pack. Does anyone have one and if so how do you like it?

Dueter... The guy that put on our kayak lesson sells their stuff and had excellent things to say about it. He showed us some product and it looked like really good quality. Keep us posted, Miss Opie.

Marmot Down Angel Fire Sleeping Bag
I just realized I haven't posted a gear review yet on my new sleeping bag! OPIE bought it for me and I got to try it out on the Cosby trip. Its designed specifically for women with more room at the hips and less at the shoulders. It also has a foot and head pocket to put hand warmers in. I can't wait to use that this winter! Thanks baby! I love my new sleeping bag, even though you do make me carry all your gear!

I tried to talk OPIE into buying you a Western Mountaineering Down bag, but Noooooooo. ;)
You need to check out this thread for a diff subject, but funny.

He did a great job, I like mine better than his western mountaineering. This bag will keep me from getting so cold because it is alot smaller than my other one.
