Orlando next week

I will be in Orlando all next week for our Convention. While I am not too thrilled about spending a weekend and Disney World, I am driving so hopefully I can get away from there occassionally.

I plan on camping Sunday near Manatee State Park or over closer to Cedar Key. I don't have to be in Orlando until Monday evening, so I can probably take in a day hike as well.

Anyone have any suggestions in the area?

I was just there and didn't get a chance to do any hiking other than urban... but I do suggest TGI Friday's, they seem to be everywhere AND they have happy hour almost all day long with .99 domestic drafts (including Yuengling)

Man, I got some crap planned for that weekend, otherwise I'd meet up with you. Ocala NF isn't too far away. It's awfully hot and humid for any hiking this time of year, I suggest camping near a nice, cool spring. There are several in Ocala NF, as well as other places in the state. Water temp is a constant 72 degrees.

Try Ichetucknee Springs! Water's at 72 deg. year round! Just grab a float tube and relax!

That's a splendid suggestion!
