Need some trails
Just thought I would write for a little help....my fiance and I are coming in for a vacation and would like to do some mountain biking. We are staying in the Keystone area, and would love to know the best biking/hiking trails around the area. Jules is not a real big biker, so something easy for her would be great. Any and all help is needed- thanks so much,

Copper Mtn is a bit further down the freeway and will take your bikes up on the ski lift, for a fee. Last summer you could get free lift ticket vouchers just for walking into a store in the resort. It's a nice ride down. There should also be an activity counter at Keystone(I would think, C.M has one and it's alot smaller) that'll have maps of hiking and biking trails w/ difficulty and directions. Maybe try calling the place you'll be staying and asking for some advice on who/where to ask. Most everyone out there in the summertime is into or at least knows about hiking/biking or climbing.

They'll do the same lift thing at Breckenridge. Lots of good hiking/biking trails around there. They also have free maps there.

Vail has trails that are nice. Or, go to Winter Park. They have great trails at the ski resort. A 6-mile one winds down the mountainside... pretty easy (and I'm no gonzo mt. biker, but I did it).

Also, Winter Park has tons and tons and tons of mt. bike trails in the forest areas around the town. They have good maps that show the skill level required. I could recommend some if you head there.

Boreas pass has some beautiful scenery. It's an old railroad grade that is now a maintained dirt/gravel road. 21 miles (17 unpaved) from Como to Breckenridge crossing over the Continental Divide. Initially you climb quite a bit (first couple of miles) but then it's pretty level and you descend gently into Breckenridge. If you want to cut it in half you could arrange stay at Section House, approximately halfway, an old log cabin that used to house the railroad workers.
