“Hi there. There's lots of hikers in MI. Most of us are in the lower peninsula but we try to get to da UP as much as possible. Sunshine lives up there and pekka's not too far away in WI.

How do you like living in Marquette? I've been thinking about moving there for some time now. I'm up there twice a year for work (was just there last month) and absolutely love the town!”

“yooper ??? that's "young onset Parkinsons" ... right? Generally they don't do too well as backpackers but in the early stages its still possible.”

“Yo, Nomad1, I know several people from the Rapid River area. I grew up in Gladstone, moved away for a few years and just recently moved back.... I'm sure we probably have a few mutual people we know from Rapid.

Tarabull, Marquette is very nice, compared to all the other little towns. I just moved back from Minneapolis - so there's been an adjustment period.

Welcome to the site. We've had a pretty active Michigan crew here, although most activity is centered in the lower peninsula.

BTW, I'm a troll. I live in the Irish Hills, which means I'm about as close to you as St. Louis, MO. That said, my girlfriend lives in WI and I drive through the UP on a semi-regular basis.
