“I just got home from a sold out show in Giants Stadium. Damn he is good.” 11:24:28 PM 7/15/03 “your bordering on blasphemy.” 4:08:04 AM 7/16/03 “Is that the Jewish version of Bruce Springsteen?” 4:22:15 AM 7/16/03 He Is Dang Good (Not Damn) “His name is spelled... Spruce Stringscreen.” 4:26:56 AM 7/16/03 “Look out... he might be a Liberal. You must be thinking of Ben Springstein.” 5:24:43 AM 7/16/03 “I think he is a lib, he said something about the war and we should hold bush accountable whether republican or democrat.” 6:27:58 AM 7/16/03 The Boss Rules! “Never saw a Bruce show i didn't love and that's been several, Ice. Glad you enjoyed it and got to see him this time around...” 7:24:05 AM 7/16/03 “"I think he is a lib, he said something about the war and we should hold bush accountable whether republican or democrat." Yeah, gotta love it when celebs have to assert that they know more than we do. Hold the prez accountable? Gee, ya think? I would have never thought about it unless you told me to. Shut the phuck up and sing...” 7:45:39 AM 7/16/03 “Nigal, I see your point and understand that you feel that way. But, just to play devil's advocate with you, I want to throw out a question. During the Vietnam era, there was an offshoot of folk music known at the time as 'protest music'. This was sung by greats like Bob Dylan, Phil Ochs, Tom Paxton, Pete Seeger, Peter, Paul And Mary, Paul Simon and many others that went on to become legends. Not only was this genre of music popular, it was recognized in a way that is almost seeming unheard of today. What I want to ask is why, all of a sudden, these people can't be outspoken in their views as they were back then. Why did this now become an almost sacriligious act. The Dixie Chicks have all but been stoned to death for comments made and anyone who speaks up is immediately shouted down.” 7:53:03 AM 7/16/03 Sucksteen..... “...that's what I always called him....can't sing a lick...or play the guitar.... I said it and it's my $.02....” 7:54:39 AM 7/16/03 “Hey, Stratus! How ya been? Long time...” 7:56:58 AM 7/16/03 ““What I want to ask is why, all of a sudden, these people can't be outspoken in their views as they were back then. Why did this now become an almost sacriligious act.” Sacrilegious act? Let’s not give it that much weight. Music for me is a recreational thing as well as an escape, much like going to the movies. When I go to a concert I want to hear music, not political preaching. If I went to see someone and they started railing against liberalism and were talking a bunch of war mongering stuff, I’d say the same thing…shut and sing! Wanna speak out? Write a song about it and sing it to me. I went to see Neil Young and Crazy horse a while back and they played their new CD front to back. It was very political and very anti Bush administration. Did I complain? No. It was them expressing their views through their music. If you aren’t creative enough to convey your feelings through your music chances are your music sucks anyhow. “The Dixie Chicks have all but been stoned to death for comments made and anyone who speaks up is immediately shouted down." The Dixies have every right to say what they want but I get so tired of them whining and crying saying they are being phucked over when they bring it up at every single concert they have given sense. They just won’t move on and let it go. Bad publicity is better than none, right?” 8:08:06 AM 7/16/03 “Very well said, Nig! I can't argue with that. To me, it would be a question of degree. If a singer dominates their show with the rhetoric, then yeah, I'm with you. Kick up a backbeat and play! If Bruce made one comment (and I don't know how much he elaborated on it) then it isn't even worth bringing up in the review as far as I am concerned. Joan Baez used to irritate me like that. I saw her once and she went on and on about her husband, David and the freakin' hunger strike he was on in jail and yada yada. It got old fast. I think we are close to being on the same page here though...” 8:16:34 AM 7/16/03 Yo Treebeard!!!!!!!!1 “Yeah....it has been a long time....I've been around....it's summertime and i've been outside alot...using one of your BIG words of the day....it's almost "sacrilegious" to be seated in front of a pc when I could be out soaking up the rays and riding some tasty waves....but dude...say it isn't so....you dig Springsteen? Man...I was convinced that you were the coolest dude on here...but...like...Springsteen? BTW.....and pay no never mind to that shlepp...he apparently doesn't understand our first Amendment...like....he must of missed out on Mr Hand's class (referring to the history teacher in Fast Times at Ridgemont High... But more importantly....how have you've been??” 8:17:13 AM 7/16/03 “We've been fine here. Been outdoors a lot lately too. Maple got me into this training to volunteer at the NY Aquarium and I love it so far. It's not hiking upstate, but being outside down by the beach ain't so bad. We are leaving tomorrow night for the Adirondacks for a three day canoe trip. Looking forward to that. As for the pc, I try to squeeze a work day around trail talk sometimes. lol. Anyway, i think we have a camping trip coming up in Pa sometime in the near future. Why don't you join us? Talk to you soon...” 8:21:59 AM 7/16/03 Treebeard.... “...sounds splendid dude...keep me posted on the PA camping trip...I might have to make a special guest appearance....” 8:29:06 AM 7/16/03 “http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/0824springsteen24-ON.html Springsteen's marriage reportedly in trouble Tirdad Derakhshani Philadelphia Inquirer Aug. 24, 2006 12:45 PM Bruce Springsteen's marriage to his wife of 15 years, Patti Scialfa, is in trouble, the New York Post says. Citing unnamed sources, the Post says the two Jersey-born musicians, who have been leading separate lives for some time, have sworn everyone to secrecy. "We're not supposed to talk about it," an anonymous "pal" is quoted as saying. The reason? Down and dirty, the Post implies, saying Bruce has several times been seen with an unnamed "stunning 9/11 widow the Boss is said to have met when he organized the 'America: A Tribute to Heroes' telethon." Isn't that like a double scandal? The Boss, who met Scialfa in '87, was first married to Julianne Phillips. He has declined to comment, while Scialfa's mother, Victoria Scialfa, told the Post: "I don't know anything about it; I don't want to talk about it." ######################################### It's hard to feel too sorry for Scialfa. Bruce cheated on his first wife with her. Now he's cheating on Scialfa with another woman. LOL What's that old saying? A man that marries his mistress has a job openning.” 5:26:43 PM 8/24/06 “who the hell is bruce springstine? is that the jewish "boss"? the guys from tea's own state. youd think he could at least spell his statesmans name correctly” 5:43:40 PM 8/24/06 People that live in glass houses..... “LOL! C!B!, your post is filled with mispellings and no caps.” 5:47:49 PM 8/24/06 “It always amazes me that anyone would choose to be with someone who cheated. Why would they ever think that person would treat them any differently?” 5:53:01 PM 8/24/06 “its called internet shorthand, stove. look it up” 6:07:35 PM 8/24/06 “i shouldve capitalized the w in who, the i in is, the j in jewish, the b in boss, the t in the, and the y in youd there should be a ' in guys, youd, and statesmans and i shouldve ended the last statement with a . but who has time for all that?” 6:12:02 PM 8/24/06 “You have been text messageing those 14 yo girls too much.” 6:27:09 PM 8/24/06 “what r u tawking about? <:-) i c u r juzt 2 silly 2 b understood. ;-D wanna meat some time? He said his nose was stuffy and born to run. *Drum Roll*” 7:27:27 AM 12/05/07 “~groan~” 7:28:06 AM 12/05/07 “LOL SS I guess he shouldnt dive into the river so much.” 7:31:08 AM 12/05/07
