We just need to find Alaska and then drag him in front of a plane full of Marines who just returned from Iraq and tell them what he just said. I'm sure we'd never see the lil troll ever again.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- "I certainly don't want to see Teddy Kennedy in a Navy flight suit."

House Majority Leader Tom DeLay used that image in a speech last week as he accused Democrats of a lack of leadership on national security. His joke at the expense of Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Massachusetts, touched off a verbal war Friday.

"To try to gauge just how out of touch the Democrat leadership is on the war on terror, just close your eyes and try to imagine Ted Kennedy landing that Navy jet on the deck of that aircraft carrier," DeLay, R-Texas, told a group of college Republicans. "I don't know about you, I certainly don't want to see Teddy Kennedy in a Navy flight suit anytime soon."

Former Sen. Max Cleland of Georgia, a Democrat and a Vietnam veteran who lost a bitter re-election race in 2002, dashed off a letter to DeLay calling the comments "reprehensible" and finishing up with his own barb: "This country deserves more patriots like Senator Kennedy, not more chicken hawks like you who never served."

Former Sen. Bob Kerrey of Nebraska, also a Democrat and Vietnam veteran, chastised DeLay in a letter Friday for his "tasteless and unnecessary smear of Senator Kennedy." The remark's tone, he said, seemed to question Kennedy's military service record.

Kennedy served in the Army. DeLay did not serve in the military.

Kennedy spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter said the incident was "another missed opportunity for DeLay to set a good example in front of an audience of young people rather than promote the politics of personal destruction."

...........Tom DeLay is but another example of the republican cockroaches that are burrowed into the U-S-A.

Lucky for those Canadian @ssholes that the Americans didn't smuggle in a couple of handguns.

There are billions of people around the world glad to see Americans beaten and killed. It shouldn't be a surprise that Canadians have joined the bandwagon. After all, they deserve it for all their wrongs.

Iraqis Make Sure Assailant Doesn't Escape
Father Hands In Teenager Who Shot at Humvee; 2 Soldiers Killed in Other Attacks
By Theola Labbé
Washington Post Staff Writer

Friday, August 1, 2003; Page A14

BAGHDAD, July 31 -- U.S. troops in Iraq have grown grimly accustomed to guerrilla-style assaults by nameless, faceless attackers who toss grenades or fire mortars at them on an almost daily basis.

But Iraqis who live along Baghdad's busy Haifa Street refused to let such an attack go unsolved this morning. When someone shot an antitank weapon at a U.S. military armored vehicle, wounding one soldier, local residents identified a teenager from the neighborhood as the assailant, and the boy's father handed him over to U.S. troops, witnesses said.

"Those soldiers were very nice guys," said Salim Saheb Alwan, 55, a retired military officer who witnessed the attack. "We used to talk to them and play with these people."

Johnny Depp: U.S. is like a stupid puppy
Wednesday, September 3, 2003 Posted: 7:27 AM EDT (1127 GMT)

BERLIN, Germany (Reuters) -- Hollywood star Johnny Depp said on Wednesday the United States was a stupid, aggressive puppy and he would not live there until the political climate changed.

The 40-year-old actor, who stars in the "Pirates of the Caribbean," told the German news magazine Stern he was happier staying in the south of France with his wife, the French actress and singer Vanessa Paradis, and their two children.

"America is dumb, it's like a dumb puppy that has big teeth that can bite and hurt you, aggressive," he said.

"My daughter is four, my boy is one. I'd like them to see America as a toy, a broken toy. Investigate it a little, check it out, get this feeling and then get out," said the star of the off-beat films "Edward Scissorhands" and "Dead Man."

Depp slammed George W. Bush's administration for its criticism of French opposition to the U.S.-led war in Iraq.

"I was ecstatic they re-named 'French Fries' as 'Freedom Fries'. Grown men and women in positions of power in the U.S. government showing themselves as idiots," he told Stern.

At least he's got the balls to stick by his ultamadum of not living here until the goverment changes. Unlike a lot of the Hollywood idiots of the left like Baldwin and Streisand who make grand proclomations and then waffle.

He's a great actor and I like his movies. I generally don't listen to actors about politics. As I said before I'll stick to the professional politicains like Arnold Swartzenager and Gary Coleman.

"If it happened to any other country

A great example of this would be Russia’s war on Chechnya. After nine car bombs Russia rolled the war machine in and did some absolutely horrid and inhuman things during the siege of Graznya. They had a total press blackout and then did as they pleased. The killing of women and children was least of their crimes against humanity. The Chechens supposedly had evidence and Russian prisoners that attested that the Russian government did the nine car bombings so they could justify a war that would jumpstart their ailing economy.

Okay, I clicked on this post out of sheer boredom and I guess that will teach me.

USA do not 'suck'. I spend just about all of my leisure time in upstate New York and love the place and the people. Stanlee gets a little bitter about Canada, too. Basically, we are both different and the same - just don't believe the TV image of either country, but do rent Canadian Bacon, it's a hoot.

BTW, aero, you missed a couple (in Canada a couple is always more than two):

A 2 by 4 is a case of 24 beer in a bottles (cans are a 'slab').

26 ounce flu is when you miss work the day after a piss-up.

Hozer refers to idjits whose can of beer fizzes when they open it.

Poutine is also known as french fries with a cold.

What this? 'Close the door or were you born in a BARN?' It's a Field.

Also, you must apologise at every occasion: 'We're sorry about your beer, it's not our fault, but we feel your pain.'

what a crock
Another actor that has a lot of money and thinks that he knows everything. If we (the us) wanted could keep Iraq. Strip it of all the oil and then leave it. No we are tring to rebuild it and make it stable again. The leadership of Iraq had what was coming to them. For many year Saddam ruled and did as he pleased killing any one that apposed him. Taking what he wanted from anyone. All we did was make it a better a place. Right now it may not seem this way but, it will take time to restore order with this new freedom that that the Iraqi people now have. He can stay in France for all I give a #&%!$. I could care less where he is or what he has to say. He is just a punk with money that doesn't have the balls to do the job that has to be done. Most of the people in France are a$$h@les anyways. SO he fits right in.

Another thing about the French. They built some bunkers for the Kuwait goverment that nothing could get though. Well I'm in Kuwait right now and I have seen the bunkers that they built and I also see the big holes in them from our bunker buster bombs from the war in 1991. Huge holes though 6 foot of concrete, rebar, and sand. I have pictures of it.

New weekly claims for unemployment benefits once again cross benchmark 400,000 level.
September 4, 2003: 8:42 AM EDT

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Jobless claims jumped last week, the government said Thursday, higher than Wall Street analysts expected, to a level above the benchmark 400,000 that signifies job-market weakness.

The Labor Department report said 413,000 people filed for benefits in the week ended Aug. 30, compared with a revised reading of 398,000 in the prior week. Economists, on average, expected 390,000 new claims, according to a Reuters poll.

Many economists view 400,000 as the sign of a soft job market. Claims were above 400,000 from mid-February to mid-July, 22 straight weeks.
