The Pemi Semi Loop

“Lt, I was thinking, if you ever want to complete the hike, here is a way that might work. Take a Friday off and come up on Thursday night. Spot one car at Lincoln Woods and start the hike from Falling Waters Trail. Hike up and across the ridge to Garfield and camp at 13 falls Friday night. Saturday hike up the South Twin, Guyot, and out over the bonds. Return home on Sunday morning. Or if you don't mind driving home after a long walk, start the hike on Saturday morning and head home after the Bonds on Sunday.”

“I would definately be up for that I don't like leaving anything unfinished.
The views from the Bonds back over to the ridge must be incredible.

I would love to get up ther and do some more hiking. Maybe the Presidentials in the Spring.”

“The drive home was easy it only took 3 hours. I picked up two hitchhiking thru-hikers on 25 and drove them to the
Sugar Shack. Man did they smell! They were pretty excited to be getting so close to the finish. I offered them the food and stuff that I had left over but they had just recently resupplied. Thier packs were smaller and lighter than any of ours .”

“Just give me a holler when you want to go. I'm trying to get my friend John to do an overnight during my vacation in August. He has 8 4,000 left to do and I would like to help him finish before the fall.

I was thinking of doing a day hike up Jefferson's caps down sphinx and back up six husband and out caps. I like a good death march as long as I'm not carrying a full pack.”

I'm still in Atlanta. This is my first chance to get on-line. I didn't have time to post the pictures before I left but will as soon as I get home. Probably Thursday.”

“I'm finishing up the hike on August 13th & 14th. Going in Gale River Trail and coming out over the Bonds. I guess I need closure to this trip.”
