“Miss Opie and myself were gonna do the sipsey this weekend..but decided it's too hot, and we wanna go shopping for me a new pack and her some stuff..so we are going to Nash-Vegas..

besides REI and BRMS, what other outfitters do we need to hit...know of any places that carry arcteryx packs besides REI?

I do have a high school reunion this weekend but it will probably be over early Sat night. The way it is going there won't be anyone going to it. In the last 2 weeks
5-6 people have died that were coming to it. Really makes you think when you are the same age.

This is a great spot for bikes as well.

The Parthenon is a cool place to see. It's right across the street from Cumberland Transit in Centennial Park. There is a great BBQ shack by Centennial Park called Hog Heaven. You have to walk through the Opryland Hotel. Valet your car, and get your parking validated from one of the bars or restaurants. Let me know when you two will be in town. Angie & I work @ the Irish Pub in the hotel. The Guinness is GREAT!!

if you're looking for an easy/semi moderate day hike, check out percy warner park's Mossy Ridge Trail. it's on the west side of nashville, hyway 100, a 4.5 mile/2 hour hike. it's pretty cool-- has an old settler's cabin ruins near the trail.”

“I just had a couple of drinks with the happy couple. I was pretty wrecked from the Nashville Brewers Festival. They ARE in Nashville and are probably eating dinner in anticipation of drinking more for the evining.

“we had a great weekend in nashville!! i wasn't ready to come back home tonight.

it was late when we arrived friday night so we just crashed at our hotel. we went to opry mills mall saturday afternoon and then went to the nashville zoo. the zoo was alot of fun even though i didn't get to ride the elephant :( i love elephants and they were offering elephant rides but at the time we were there they were on break.

after the zoo and a trip to REI we checked out brandon's place, nice apartment and a ton of gear! we hung out with him for a little while until it was time to go back to the hotel to get ready for a night on the town.

we met currahee downtown at a bar and had a few drinks with him. he had already been at the brewery festival all night and was ready to go home. it looked like the brewery festival was alot of fun!

randy and i then went to bailey's and had a bite to eat before we headed over to NV, a dance club. It was a nice club but i had a killer headache and the music was making it worse. i felt bad because i had to cut our night out on the town short. i hate being a party pooper!

we went back to REI and then to blue ridge mountain sports before heading home.

it was a wonderful weekend and i'm ready for us to move to nashville!”
