The Daily Mail version gives the full story. She didn't have a C-section as the Fox article mentions.

I didn't think the Fox article said she did.

She chose the former, waiting until the fetus was viable before scheduling a Caesarian section.

"If I am going to die, my baby is going to live," Allard told her husband, Martyn, according to the Mail.

The baby came a week early

OK, with the history of fires there why wasn't there a fire suppression system installed?

That's my forst question. That place has killed quite a few firefighters over the years.
