Catskills trailhead directions

"from "Catskill Region" guide to Catskill trail Book.

Trailhead: Access to the Overlook Mt. trailhead is from Woodstock. Travel 0.6 mi. N. on Co. Rd. 33 from Woodstock to the intersection of Glasco Turnpike. Continue 2.1 mi. stight ahead up steep Meads Mt. Rd. to the DEC trailhead signpost and very large parking area on the Right side of the road. The large building across the road from the trailhead was once Mead's Mt. House, an early hotel. But it is now a Buddest Temple.


Anyone that wants to head up Friday Nihgt, we can meet at the trailhead. We will be there late. treebeard and myself have to work late and I think there are 2 other people that are coming from out of town.
so ater we pack up the car we will be on the road for about 3 to 4 hrs. So we may get there around 10:00 to 11:00 pm.

For those that want to meet us Sat Morn, I guess around 10:00am is a good start.

I think it is about 5 miles round trip to Overlook. then it's only .06 miles to Echo Lake.
I did say that this would be a semi easy hike.
