Treebeard, you know this trail is marked like I-95, A GPS might be overkill.

Don't rain on my parade! :) No, really, Lt. I will bring it anyway. I am really green with it and I just want to get used to the functions and how to use it. I wasn't expecting this to be a real killer hike...

Just kidding you Tree!

We bought my wife a pack over the weekend, got her a Gregory g-pack, just happens that it fits me also!
She is really getting into the gear buying part of Backpacking. I think she has more backpacking clothes than me. And of coourse a pink Nalgene bottle.
All of the new gear is making me shaky, I think I am going to have to buy myself something. Maybe a new sleeping bag then she can use my old one.

Sounds fair, Lt! Between maple's kayak and my GPS, we ate up the $800 that the government gave back for the child credit thing.

I think ya just blew your 1st semester of school!

I'm confused - Brooklyn College sucks - they don't even have tuition posted on their freakin site - had to go to the CUNY site.

Piece of crap ghetto school.

Sorry - I've had it with them - I'm not going - I'd rather wait than commute 4/5 hours a day - get mugged coming home from evening classes - and deal with an incompetent school

So the weather forecast has changed a little. There is a chance of thunder storms and showers Saturday afternoon thru Sunday morning, I’m not sure what the plan is for camp Saturday night or how far everyone planned on hiking, but the shelter at echo lake may be a good place it would give us a place to cook and hang out for the evening out of the rain. If not I’ll probably bring a tarp along.
