I got a cool light stick, and a hot sausage (oh no , that was DDutch's, but I sliced that baby up), and cheese cake and birthday pudding and got one of my boots full of gooey Ohio mud! I also went into a "tavern" and came out sober (never did that before). Thanks for the Ohio invasion- it was fun. Ya'll come back now..ya hear.”

I think Wolfeyes pretty much nailed that trip. That was my first trip that I put together, even though I did not follow my own plans to the letter (bada bump) everyone else did. I am glad that everyone had a good time in my home state.

“Great pics, Ewker & Wolfeyes. Thanks to all for resisting the temptation to give my hammock a major swing and dumbing my snoozing @$$ out on to the ground. I heard y'all, but succumbed to the soothing rays of the late fall sun, and fell back asleep (twice). My feet hit the ground at 9:30 AM and camp was deserted (with, I'm pleased to add, no trace except for the existing fire ring). Glad you all enjoyed the group lunch, I survived on landjaeger sausage and smoked gouda after about 2 hours on the return trail. I made it back to the parking lot by 3:00 and was home by 6:00.

Great to meet everyone. I'll be happy to make sure everyone gets up in time for breakfast on the next trip. LOL!”

“It was a great weekend! The people and the weather were excellent. And yes, we had alot of lovely ladies on the trip. Their beauty was enhanced by their terrific personalities and their hiking prowess.

It was great to meet Embear, Match, and Evening Red. And a special thanks to Wolfeyes for her seemingly endless complaining. I felt like I was married again....(just kidding;)”

“Just got to a computer as I sat waiting to not be selected for selection on a jury all day yesterday.

What a fantastic time, but when have I been on a trailtalk trip when it wasn't? So much laughing, sharing and all round great comaraderie. Here's my 2 cents towards the trip report.

After picking up Evening Red at the Zinton County airport at 7:30pm Fri, got to the trailhead at about 8:15. Hiked in to the campsite via the road since it was getting so late. Arrived at about 10:30 for some greetings and a warm fire before bed-time. Mudslide was the appropriate drink.

Saturday morning, got up and began hiking confidently up the incorrect trail????? to add about 2 miles to the hike for the day. 8 miles later with Shanedog still pulling strong, we arrived at camp 2:30ish. Wolfeyes kept us all laughing through the afternoon and evening, girl you are hysterical! A huge pile of wood was gathered to last us through the winter, just in case we would be stranded???

Campfire, laughter, good food and all around fantastic company through the evening.

Up and hiking on a glorious Sunday morning. 70 degrees in November! The last mile was wet and Shanedog kept chasing deer tracks so he fell into the stream...backwards. He had a horrible time getting through that stretch. But back at the trailhead and in the warm truck he recovered while we ate a post hike meal at the local Zaleski dive. I love that kind of place!

An uneventful drive home in my down booties (which got lots of wierd looks when I stopped for gas) was a great time to reflect on how lucky I am to have found such a fantastic group to share these adventures with. Can't wait to see the pictures.”
