“We spent most of our weekend at the koi show. It was nice but very boring after a while. We missed all the excitement by 45 minutes, when a family of known thieves (and worse) showed up to try their tricks again. HPM couldn't resist a lovely little doitsu (german/japanese carp cross, has big armor like scales along the spine)that's white with yellow and orange markings. Breakdown of the show was a wet affair, as all the wet vendors dumped their tanks in the traffic area (no choice there, it's a parking lot) and it rained pretty good.”

“Cats don't mess with koi. If the cat tries anything it gets splashed. One of the fish at the show weighed over 30 lbs. These people have stolen things from people in this club, and from other clubs and shows.”

“Gotta work Saturday morning with Juvenile Fire Setter Prevention Unit, then teach fire safety at a SAFE KIDS event. Sunday I will do some repairs around the house and go to work at the station.

Been in the woods off and on for the last three months.....WANT TO GET OUT ON THE WATER.”

“I was in Eastern WA last weekend and did a beautiful low elevation hike, only 800 ft for fantastic view of the canyons in that dry area of WA. We sprung for the extra bucks to get a serviced RV campsite to be right next to the water with great views. We even saw a huge rainbow when it rained later in the day.

This week, I'll be hiking under a canopy of trees, so even if it the sky tinkles, I'll never feel a drop. It's a low elevation trail with waterfalls and lots of moss, haven't done that one in years.”

“May go to Yosemite tomorrow - we're headed up that direction for an anniversary getaway....”

“I'm all moved into my new house, so that's done. Today I'm putting stuff away. I hope to hit the river in my kayak tomorrow. Moving twice in little more than a month gets very tiring. Good thing I'm not as old as Stovestomper.”
