I want to start at Worlds End and hike around 15 miles, camp and then the next day hike around 10 miles. How far is it from Worlds End to Kettle Falls? I camped there before and thought it was a good campsite. Will I be able to get Haystacks into the hike? Want to come? There is a trip up on the trips page.” 11:11:02 AM 7/21/04 “bump” 11:51:31 AM 7/21/04 “bump” 1:09:42 PM 7/21/04 “Get a set.” 1:13:23 PM 7/21/04 “try emailin' him. I'm heading to Pine Grobve furnace this weekend an plan on doing the Sunset rocks loop. We plan on doing the scramble. I have your book but was wondering if there was anything more you could tell me that might help.. also we were going to camp near the AT/Sunset rocks junction. We'll be there Thursday - Saturday. It looks like a blast” 11:29:15 AM 7/08/08 “I've never actually been out to the view, but that's a nice stretch of the AT. There's some nice camping less than a mile South of the Tom's Run shelters. It's pretty flat up there. You'll have to carry water but it will be a bit more private than staying right at the shelters.” 11:36:17 AM 7/08/08 “Thanks N_G. Hope you guys had a great 4th. We'll be starting in PGF and doing a loop back.” 11:56:25 AM 7/08/08 “It's been several years, but Sunset Rocks are very nice- rock scrambling, very nice views of the forested valley, cool boulders and rock outcrops. I remember being pleasantly surprised by the nice view, and ironically, the sun was setting. Very much worth doing. I don't recall it being a long trail. Have fun.” 12:41:05 PM 7/08/08 “A few years ago I was there in mid-fall with a group of day hikers when there were a few fallen leaves. We scrambled up to the view and just before the summit there was a crevice full of orange objects. Each of us stepped over the crevice then sat in a line on a large rock on top to drink in the view. While sitting up on top, one of us at the end of the line saw a bit of movement and realized that most of the orange in the crevice was a large copperhead amid the leaves. It was really interesting watching the change in expression on faces down the row as each person in line nudged the next and pointed... last edited: 7/08/08 4:58:47 PM” 4:57:59 PM 7/08/08 “you doing anything the weekend of the 26th? Interested in doing the southern section of the Conestoga Trail? I am thing of going northbound from 372 to Pequa. I think that is 12 miles. I want to camp at Reeds Run. I am up for a good back sometime in August though. Not sure where, but I would like to do something buttkickerish. About the conestoga trail, do you know how far it is from Pequea to PA 372? I am guess around 12 miles. Do you know if there is parking near Pequa Campground?” 5:58:59 AM 7/14/08 “turns out my friend can't go this weekend, so we are going to reschedule.
