History Channel: Klondike: Quest for th e Gold

“Anyone catch it last night? I saw just a bit of it and I hope they rerun it. Five people did the long haul into the Klondike using gear of the period of the gold rush. Looked really interesting.”

“No, I foolishly took my kids to the pool last night. Crap.”

“I saw part of it. I also am waiting on the re-run.

Monday Night Football took top billing until it was called due to bad weather.”

It was funny when they ditched the record player.

They couldn't get their handguns past the Mounties!”

“Nope. it was family golf night. Me, the wife, and oldest daughter shot 2 over. Wish I stayed home. I tweaked my back and can barely stand up.”

“missed that one. saw a cool one about the grand canyon's exploration and mapping of the southwest by a dood named....powell i think it was. very interesting stuff.....”

“One-armed Powell?”

“Too many good things on at the same time last night. Between the Klondike, the Powell expedition and another show about FDR and Churchill. I just kept switching channels.”

“I watched it. thought it was pretty good, especially when they were following the bear down the trail.

The tried to make everything look authentic, but I did notice several Garcia bear canisters in the cook tent in one shot and that they had PFD's on under their sweaters while they were boating.”

“I wanted to tape it, but between my new DVD/VCR and a new remote I don't know how to run and the simple fact I have TV (CABLE) for the first time in like 5 years... well, I couldn't figure it out. LOL!”

“Yes we watched most of it. It was very, very good, I will watch it again, as I was cooking dinner during some of it, so I missed some. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for the modern equip. I didn't see it, I was too busy thinking about the gold.”
