I wonder if SuperTroll would be interested...

And if Ewker's more interested in drinking than gear, well, we better revoke his backpacker's license. You gotta show at least equal interest, ya know...

I dunno about Ruby's, but it sounds like fun. I'm definitely coming up for the sale.

poor yam, I hope you don't miss out on the sale...

Hey, yam maybe you can answer a question for me. My wife wants a pair of convertible pants, but she doesn't want me to buy her a pair without her there to try them on. Do you know if REI sizes run small or large, or just right? If they're just right, I can get her a pair in her size and be pretty much assured that they'll fit her.

I'll prolly get to the store as you and the other TTers are hauling out loads of deals...

I wish I could help out on that one for ya, bit. I buy the boys' sizes on the REI convertible pants.

I know, know, it can only lead to woe!

I should just let her pick them out. If she didn't have to pick up our daughter from a sleepover Saturday morning, I'd bring her along.

The only successful clothing I was ever good at buying for my wife was the kind that only gets worn a few minutes before it comes off. You know, the really fun clothes. Hee Hee.
Just make DANG sure you buy a size Small!

Did I mention that Angie & I are flaking on the REI trip. It turns out that we have the same 3 days off this weekend so we are heading up to the Piney River section of the cumberland trail for 3 days & 2 nights of fishing, swimming, stargazing and to get the city out of our heads for a couple of days.
I was looking forward to the sale, but i just don't need anything now and the weather has been cooler than expected.
Y'all have fun.

Bitpusher, REI's womens' convertable pants come in s, m and l. I wear a medium and normally wear a size 10 or a 12, regular clothes. In other words, I think they run a bit large.

OK, thanks Sass! She's been complaining that new pants she's been buying in size 10 fit the same as older pants that are size 12. If I find some mediums I might take a chance.

i've been noticing that for most stores, the sizes are getting larger. they'll do anything to get you to buy their clothes!

Blame the baby boomers. As they get older, they're getting fatter, but they still want to fit in a size 10!
bitpusher

I'd like to think that better quality stuff runs larger but it might just be a ploy to make us wanna buy more rei clothes. MH runs large too. =)

at J. Crew, i used to wear a 4. then it went to a 2, and once the size that fit was a 0. i had a good long laugh about that one! what do the people who actually wear a 0 wear...do they make negatives?? LMAO!!
