Hey all, I found a terminal in Mammoth. We have had an exciting time on the John Muir trail so far. Pouring rain the first day. Bear encounters the first night. And beautiful country all the way thru. We are a quarter of the way through our milage. But our permit is till Sept 6th. So we have many weeks to continue to hike the JMT and explore the Sierra backcountry. My hips are chaffed and so is my back. (My pack is heavy and needs adjusted) But we are smiling. We have had tough days and easy days. High milage is 18 for a day and low mileage is 7 for a day. Today is a rest day. (for the AT'rs it is resturant day) We spent most of the day with three older guys who completed the AT and are hiking the JMT. Real food tastes good when you have been eating freeze dried food for a few days. And pepsi is sooo good. I also hope to down a Corona while in Mammoth. For a more detailed report. I posted on So Cal Hikers. WindWalker knows the address I think. I doubt I will get access to the net again for the next 3 or 4 weeks. But our re-suppliers will post a small report detailing our progress, I am sure.

Take care
