Revenge of the DWR trip

Time to start thinking about giving this trip a date.
It kicked my butt last time, but now I'm ready for some REVENGE!

Place: Delaware River
State: Pa side
Date: TBD
Kind of trip: kayaking/canoeing/camping
(rentals are aval)
Miles: 20 miles in 2 days


so anyone one up for getting even with the water with me?

Well....that last trip really stunk. It was absolutely horrible. No fun at all.

So when are you thinking of doing this?

I might even hold off till Oct. that would be a great time to go. with the tress changing colors and less crowds

it may or we can get lucky and it will be warm. the water will still be warm by then. Oct is a great time to go on the water

The changing leaves will be nice. The water was cold when we went the last time so I suspect it will be even colder in October. Wet suits?

Mapleleaf October would be great I will probably have my kayak by then.

In past years I have canoed many times down the Delaware in October. It's a great way to enjoy the fall foliage

no the water will be warmer. think about how the water has had about 3 months of hot weather.
no wet suit needed.

im thinking Oct 3rd-5th.

like last time, arrive Friday night and campout, then push off Sat am.
paddle for 10 miles and find a campsite. then paddle out Sun.
