I just got back
"During this freakishly warm, dry and cloudless summer in the Pacific Northwest, astonishing views of Mount Rainier have been uncommonly common."

Just back from the Wonderland this past weekend. We were able to clearly see Rainier all but about two or three days. Nice to be home after 10 days, but literally can't wait to do it again. BTW we talked to several folks who live in the area and they happen to mentioned that small earthquakes were becoming increasingly common, which leads one to believe something’s churning in Rainier's belly.

Hey Trail Dog, I remember you talking about going out there. Glad to hear that you went and had fun. I left with that same feeling.

What or where did you like the best? Trail report please.

Krakatoa and the Dark Ages
There's a controversial hypothesis that an eruption of Krakatoa in the 6th Century caused worldwide social and economic upheaval, leading to the onset of the Dark ages and the establishment of Islam.

Another hypothesis is that an asteroid or comet plunged into the Earth at or near Krakatoa...

Thinking of doing them in jan/feb 2004? Any ideas of guides to use.?

I lost my foot in a shark attack
Just ask AmyG about it. She can tell you the whole sick story.

BTW I will be hiking the Wonderland trail next summer.....as long as it is still there.
