Read or heard somewhere that they will be a bust this year. They certainly will be a bust here if the clouds don't lift!

Everything I have tried since I got this telescope has been a bust. The eclipse was rained out here. So far, haven't seen a red hair on Mars' ass. (Did I really say that?) And maybe no meteors either...

You will be a whiz to track a meteor on your roof top telescope.

LOL.

But I will have to wait until tomorrow night. In a moment of stupidity, and because I was tired, I watched Storm of the Century Sunday night. I didn't know it was a series. Then last night, I watched the second part only to find out I have to come back again to get the last installment.

More TV than I have watched in 6 months.

Last night the sky cleared for a little while and there was Mars looking big and bright.

Anywhere in the Northern Hemisphere will be about the same, TB. With with Moon being in the way, it will mostly all Suck, tho'! <G>

This year your best bets are just after dusk and just before dawn --- while the Moon is closer to the horizon.

You can go to SpaceWeather.com and listen to them...

This be the month for Mars, planning a nite out w/ the boys to go star gaze just for that reason. :-)

I saw *A* meteor just standing outside in the country, looking skyward. Also, Mars is pretty impressive.
