Bet you never worried about this on a loopy ride-
You hear about coasters getting stuck, falling off the rails or giving people brain damage but get a load of this-
I had a co-worker come home from taking his grandkids to marine world. He got bit by a spider while riding on a rollercoaster. He thought it was a bee at first and ignored it. Latter he started turning purple and puffy. He went to the first aid station and they just gave him some lotion to put on it. He wnet home. Next day his whole side was puffy and he felt very sick. He went to the hospital and they gave him all kinds of anti venom stuff. Isnt that weird? Maybe it was a black widow or something.

It took him a couple days but hes a lot better now.

That's interesting Free. I had a spider bite in my backyard!

I was putting together a trampoline for my kids and felt a little bite on the back of my left calf. The next day it was puffy and itchy. I went to see the doctor here at the hospital where I work. She told me it looked like a spider bite and gave me a shot! Then prescribed some antibotics. That was two yrs ago and I still have a tiny purple spot where the bite was.

When I was in college I rented a house with 3 other guys. It was an OLD house and had tons of spiders. I got a bite in the middle of my back while sleeping one night. I went to the doctor the next day and he said "holy crap!" It swelled up pretty good so the doc gave me some medicine.

Gotta watch out for those critters!

A teenager and her 11-year-old cousin were stranded on the Insanity thrill ride atop the Stratosphere on Las Vegas Boulevard for 80 minutes Wednesday morning.

Amid high winds and low temperatures, Erica McKinnon and Gabriella Cecineros huddled in space, their seat suspended 64 feet from the Stratosphere observation deck and 906 feet above the Strip.

"It was about the scariest thing I've ever experienced in my life," said McKinnon, a Valley High School graduate.

"I was trying to make phone calls while I was up there with my cell phone. I talked to my dad. I talked to 911. I thought, 'This is it,' " she said late Wednesday.

I think last year there was a rollercoaster that got stuck upside down. Those riders must've had a big headache when they finally got off the ride.

I once feared for my life at Busch Gardens in VA. The lap bar did not lock down and we were out of the gate when I discovered it. Upside down loop with no bar, no problem the G's hold you in. The scary parts are the less than 1 G parts.

-G without a lap bar, not fun.

I've always thought it'd be a fun job to design coasters.
