Fresno State is returning 10 starters (mostly on offense) this season. The trio of Bernard Berrian, Rodney Davis, and Paul Pinegar should put up some impressive offensive numbers. A little worried about how a new special teams unit will pan out, but should be ok... Tough schedule with road trips to Tennessee, Oklahoma, Colorado State, and Hawaii...and home games against Oregon State and Boise State. Can't wait for the season to begin!”

“whoohooo, I just watched NC State beat Clemson 43-36 after a 4 TD performance by Torry Holt. Of course, it was a 1998 game compressed into 1 hour on Fox Flash Classics, but, hey, at least ot was WOLFPACK football.”

I think NC State's gonna give Ohio State all they can handle and might just walk away with the "V" - even though Ohio State has that game in their house.”

“I feel real good about our team this year. Our biggest concern is our defensive line. We lost the entire line this season, but the people we have penciled in as starters played alot last year and those that didn't are supposed to be even more talented than last years conference best squad.

I know this though, if you want to a sure bet take the wolfpack in this one. Even if OSU can beat us, there is no way they will beat us by more than 12 points.”

“Was my post really that long that you missed my only point dayhiker? I said this season, not last season. But yeah, you're right about last season. We were 9-5 and you were 10-3. So what...the year before that Fresno State was 11-3 while Alabama was 7-5...big deal. Alabama was a pretty good team last year, but I don't think so this year. You guys end the 2003 season in Hawaii once again. Hawaii's going to have a better team this season. I don't think Alabama can say that. Sorry to give you the bad news, but Alabama's not going to leave there with some 5pt victory like they did last year. I'll give them the benifit of the doubt and say Alabama might end up 6-7 or 7-6. But my gut instict wants to predict 5-8.”

And don't tell me Alabama's players would have rather ended their season in Hawaii and sat out the bowl season (like they did) than play in the Silicon Valley Classic. It's better than no bowl game at all.”
