Ocala Part 3

“Well folks it's that tiem again for old and new friends to converge on the Ocala National Forest and hike the Florida National Scenic Trail.

This year I'm thinking we can do the northern section up to Rodman Dam. There WILL be a recon hike most likely this November but I'll post the details to that later on.

So right now I'm thinking Salt Springs north to Rodman Dam. This may change but I'll keep everyone informed who signs up.

Thanks for the email HPM. I haven't even been on this site in a looooong time. We're almost ready to leave on vacation for A MONTH! I've never taken a month off. I'll let y'all know how it feels. We'll be traveling up north to NJ-land by way of the Maryland coast, the ferry, Cape May NJ, and points north. After visiting with my mother for a few days, we head down the BlueRidge Parkway for three weeks of car camping, bed&breakfast, car camping, cabin on lake, car camping, bed&breakfast... you get the picture. Me, Denise, and Simba.

In keeping with my past patterns, I have been going sleepless to make sure that I take care of everything that I can think of before we go. I'm toast, and I need a vacation badly.

I'm looking forward to the ONF trip.”

I thought of you this morning arclite. My 15 month old had a tumultuous night's sleep and I thought of how amazed I was that you could sleep like that - but now I'm starting to understand.

“I was at both places this past weekend on my way back home from Orlando.(Winter Garden) up SR-19. I just can't get enough of Ocala !!! Pencil me in for the time being as I have NO idea where I will be in a few months.”
