“Not that it means anything, but the long range weather forecast calls for showers Friday, and temps for the weekend of a high of 61 and low of 36.
Very normal weather for FL I believe.”

I intend to not carry a filter and carry water from the piped hand pumps.
Can you give me any idea of how far the pumps are from where we will be camped each night?”

“Night one, half a mile (maybe) but we will be on the shores of Rodman reservior.

Night two, maybe half a mile at most. We are just going to find a spot in the woods just past Lake Delancy.

The last time I hiked this section I carried a quart on day one and two quarts on day two.”

“I have not heard from my friend I was staying with in Jacksonville so now I am 95% sure I can take at least 2 people.

The easiest way to do this is probably for me and Mike to drive and Gary and Dub to drive. How does this sound?

I have Thursday, Friday and Monday off Mike. How about you? I was planning on leaving as soon as I get home from work on Wednesday, drive until I cannot keep my eyes open and get a room for the night. Same for the drive back.

How does this sound to you?”

“It's been fun being a scapegoat for a trip where everything really did work out perfectly on the trip. We can all take that kind of heat. I seriously considered trying to bum a ride from MDS and making this trip. I would love to drive down, but felt like having Savage, then this one, then Sipsey would keep me from taking a Spring trip. My next trip after Sipsey will be back to my usual mileage. I think Joyce Kilmer is next on the list. All the comments I heard on Savage really backed up that decision (Kilmer that is)

I have looked at last years pics from Ocala a time or two and they looked great. I'm pretty sure either Cumberland Island or Okeefenokee is going to happen next winter. On the Okefenokee thread you mentioned swimming. Do folks really swim in the blackwater with the alligators and live to tell the tale?”

WK - I think a pinning is what would be causing the screaming in the first place. I'm not sure chili would be into the three way, but you never know.”
