Labor Day Weekend Float on the Current R iver

“Current river, Akers landing to Two Rivers...should be fun fun fun...I'll be wet, while the rest of you sweat!...hahaha...I made that one up all by myself. This will be a float fest with loads of side explorations of springs, caves and other interesting sites, and of course...lots of eating, did I mention that there will be great cooking going on?”

“We would like to go, but we have other plans. Mrschili is having surgey on her foot that Friday. She will be down for a while. ooch!!”

I know the distance constraints are a consideration for you all out west. We'll catch up on the Buffalo in Sept and Oct.

As for Khatru...tired puppy...yup, but honestly, he was really great on this last trip, hardley whined and stayed in the boat much more. I think he's gettin the idea that the boat can be fun. plus, I kept givin him scoobie snacks, so he was really interested in comin in the boat.

“I haven't spent too much time out that way but I did a 3 or 4 day trip on the Current. It was great! The caves that you can canoe into are really cool. Have a blast.”

I won't be up for this trip. It turns out I tore my left calf "gastrocnemium" on the last trip. On crutches etc. I don't dare get out and injure it again. Cause I've got backpacking to do this fall. I'm afraid I'll even miss the first Ozark Highlands trip this fall.
