The good thing about all of that Mrschili is that you have a Director in your company that AGREES with all of that.

I actually had the president of my company buy me a beer while I was on vacation last week (he happened to be in the same place!) And the V.P. is a fraternity boy. Generally, any company sponsored event uses beer as an incentive to get people to go.

I've been known to drink a tall cold one late on a Friday. I may have to do that today around 3 or 4. You've inspired me. Birthday parties here sometimes include beer and pizza. For one of the bosses b'days we had beer, pizza, and a stripper. Pretty funny. His wife, my wife, and our son who was about 6 months old at the time were there. The stripper said it was her first time in front of an infant.

So tell me Mrs. Chili, what makes you think the American workplace could ever become that enlightened?

We've had beer here on occaision.

They even begged us to take some of the weak stuff (Coors Light and Bud Light) home with us. Of course all the good stuff was gone.

I took a few cans of Coors Light home. Hell, free beer is better than none.

mrschili and I work for the most conservative company in America.

Company parties are alcohol free and you can't expense any drinks when entertaining clients.

However, I have learned the credit card receipts are not itemized.

In smalltown America, our boss sometimes comes and hangs out with us on taco night and slams his three margaritas (mind you, they are SMALL)

He let me drink and then go cover meetings, too. LOLOLOLOL!! TRUE!!!

But I'm not drunk!

I can just see Phil calling his wife back in California to wire bail money....
